German CPA SOC 2 Auditor

The Bilingual CPA SOC 2 Auditor of Consilium Labs conducts and supports SOC 2 and related assurance engagements for technology and cloud-based companies. The role performs audit planning, testing, evidence review, reporting, and quality-review activities while maintaining compliance with AICPA attestation standards, independence requirements, and internal quality procedures.

The Auditor works closely with technical audit, cybersecurity, and compliance teams supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 42001, vendor assurance, and related cybersecurity assessments. Fluency in English and German is required to support bilingual client communication and audit delivery.

• May provide technical guidance and support to audit team members during assigned engagements.
  

• Participate in and perform SOC 2 Type I and Type II engagements from planning through reporting.
• Review and evaluate controls, evidence, policies, procedures, walkthroughs, and testing documentation.
• Evaluate IT general controls and information-security-related controls.
• Support engagement planning, testing, documentation, reporting, and quality-review activities.
• Draft, review, and assist in finalizing SOC 2 reports.
• Sign reports when authorized and subject to internal quality-review procedures.
• Communicate with clients in English and German regarding audit requests, walkthroughs, evidence, findings, and testing.
• Work collaboratively with technical auditors, cybersecurity specialists, and compliance teams.
• Maintain compliance with AICPA attestation standards, independence requirements, and internal audit methodology.
• Assist with improving internal methodologies, templates, audit processes, and quality practices.
• Maintain professional judgment, confidentiality, impartiality, and attention to detail throughout all engagements.
  

• Fluency in written and spoken English and German.
• Active German CPA license in good standing.
• Experience in, IT controls, information-security controls, and attestation practices. Knowledge on SOC 2 and BSI C5 are nice-to-haves.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical audit writing.
• Ability to independently manage multiple audit engagements and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, professional judgment, organization, and client-service skills.
• Ability to review audit evidence, assess controls, and document findings clearly and accurately.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, technical auditors, cybersecurity specialists, and internal teams.
• Commitment to AICPA standards, independence, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business, or a related field.
• Active German CPA license in good standing.
• Experience with SOC 2 engagements, IT audits, assurance engagements, or related attestation work.
• Experience with SOC 2 Type I and Type II audits preferred.
• Experience with cloud environments, SaaS companies, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, PCI DSS, or related cybersecurity frameworks preferred.
• Experience with Vanta, Drata, Secureframe, or similar compliance platforms preferred.
• CISA, CISSP, or related certifications are preferred.
  

• Ability to perform prolonged computer-based audit, documentation, evidence-review, and reporting work.
• Ability to communicate effectively through email, video meetings, telephone calls, and written reports in English and German.
• Ability to work remotely and manage multiple client engagements and deadlines.
