About Us

Operating within an established Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) backed by a leading European multi-asset management group, we offer short decision-making paths, high visibility, and direct strategic impact. We combine the agility of an entrepreneurial structure with the robust stability and capital backing of a premier pan-European financial institution.

Position Overview

Take end-to-end responsibility for Private Equity (PE) and Real Estate (RE) investments—primarily fund-of-funds structures alongside select direct deals—covering everything from initial sourcing through holding and exit. In this high-impact portfolio management role, you will act as a key driver of our alternative asset strategies, ensuring optimal capital deployment, rigorous risk management, and sustained value creation across our growing international portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investment Execution: Manage the complete lifecycle of PE/RE investments via fund-of-funds and select direct holdings, overseeing every operational and strategic milestone from origination to final disposition.
  • Due Diligence: Evaluate and synthesize commercial, legal, and tax due diligence (DD) findings to rigorously inform investment decisions and mitigate asset-level risks.
  • Documentation & Negotiation: Review, draft, and align critical legal instruments, including Subscription Agreements, Side Letters, and Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs).
  • Committee Presentations: Prepare and present comprehensive investment memos, market evaluations, and strategic proposals directly to the Investment Committee.
  • Operations & Reporting: Monitor portfolio financial KPIs, run ongoing asset performance reporting, and coordinate FX spot and forward transactions to manage currency exposure.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with internal risk, compliance, and legal teams, as well as external general partners (GPs) and portfolio company managers, to safeguard fund interests.

Qualifications & Competencies

Essential Criteria:

  • Professional Experience: 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in alternative investments, asset management, investment banking, or an AIFM with a dedicated Private Equity or Real Estate focus.
  • Education & Certifications: University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a recognized banking qualification backed by professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA, CIIA, or Fachwirt).
  • Technical Expertise: Deep working knowledge of alternative fund structures, comprehensive due diligence frameworks, investment legal documentation, and advanced financial modeling/analysis utilizing MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Language Skills: Business fluent command of both German (C1 level) and English (C1 level) for contract negotiation and executive reporting. French language proficiency is welcomed as an advantageous addition.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Strong analytical aptitude paired with meticulous attention to detail and sharp commercial instincts.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the confidence to interact seamlessly with executive leadership, institutional investors, and external partners.

Compensation & Perks

  • Financial Package: €100,000 – €110,000 gross annual base salary, augmented by an attractive performance-based bonus and a comprehensive company pension scheme.
  • Work-Life Balance: Hybrid work model allowing up to 3 remote working days per week, 30 days of paid annual vacation allowance, and zero required business travel.
  • Professional Development: Generous financial sponsorship and study support for relevant advanced professional certifications (such as CFA or CAIA), alongside structured internal and external training initiatives.
  • Work Environment: Modern office facilities located in a prime financial hub, offering dynamic teamwork, flat hierarchies, and strong prospects for long-term career advancement.
