Girls on the Run Lehigh Valley and Pocono: Program Coordinator, Pocono Region

Organizational Summary:
Girls on the Run Lehigh Valley & Pocono (GOTRLVP) is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator to strengthen and expand Girls on the Run programming in Monroe and Pike Counties. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, connecting with the community, and helping more girls access programming that builds confidence, connection, and healthy life skills.

Position Summary:
Working closely with the Program Team and Executive Director, the Coordinator will build a strong local presence for Girls on the Run and support sustainable program growth throughout the Pocono region.

Program Growth & Site Development: Recruit new sites, reconnect with former sites, build relationships with schools and community organizations, recruit participants, and work toward regional growth goals.

Coach Recruitment & Support: Recruit and retain volunteer coaches, support coach training and seasonal needs, and help build a strong local volunteer pipeline.

Community Outreach & Regional Presence: Attend community events, increase awareness of Girls on the Run as a youth-development program, build local partnerships, and identify potential funding and sponsorship prospects for introduction to the Executive Director.

5K & Program Operations: Play a key role in restoring and implementing the Monroe County 5K and assist with volunteers, Running Buddies, materials, registration, site needs, and other seasonal program responsibilities.

Part-time, non-exempt position averaging 20 hours per week at $21/hour. Some evening and weekend availability is required for coach, volunteer, community, fundraising, and 5K events. The position is primarily remote with some in-person responsibilities at the GOTRLVP Allentown office and throughout the Pocono region. Candidates should reside in or near Monroe or Pike County.

Observed Holidays/Office Closures: Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving, December 24th-January 2nd.
