KEMET Electronics Corporation

We at KEMET, A YAGEO Group Company, help make a wide variety of products possible in the world's most rapidly expanding industries.

Founded in 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio, with over 100 years of technological innovation, we manufacture capacitors and other components for computing, telecommunications, medical, aerospace, defense, and automotive markets. Our components are found in spacecrafts and defibrillators-from outer space to inside our bodies, and in products we use every day. We have the broadest selection of capacitor technologies in the industry, including an expanding range electromechanical device and electromagnetic compatibility solutions.

Summary

Shape the future of memory and storage infrastructure with YAGEO Group. YAGEO Group is seeking an accomplished Global Account Manager based in the Boise area to lead Micron, one of our most important strategic semiconductor accounts. This role owns the global account strategy, commercial performance, executive relationships, and platform-level design-in and design-win execution across Micron business units, engineering organizations, sourcing teams, and global manufacturing locations.

Working closely with Micron stakeholders in Boise and other global sites, as well as YAGEO business units and regional teams, you will translate Micron technology roadmaps, qualification requirements, and supply-chain priorities into scalable Total Solution opportunities. The ideal candidate combines deep Micron account knowledge, strategic selling, technical curiosity, commercial discipline, and the ability to mobilize global cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Micron account strategy. Develop and execute a multi-year global account plan for Micron that expands revenue, share of wallet, and YAGEO Total Solution adoption across memory, storage, data-center, automotive, mobile, client, and embedded applications.
  • Executive and customer leadership. Serve as YAGEO Group’s primary global commercial lead for Micron. Build trusted relationships with Micron executive leadership, engineering, procurement, strategic sourcing, quality, supply chain, and business-unit stakeholders.
  • Boise engagement. Maintain a strong, consistent presence with Micron teams in Boise and coordinate engagement with Micron stakeholders at other U.S. and international locations.
  • Platform influence. Drive early engagement and design-in strategies aligned with Micron product, platform, power-delivery, signal-integrity, thermal, and manufacturing roadmaps.
  • Global execution. Coordinate Micron-facing activities across YAGEO regions, business units, factories, channel partners, and technical teams so customer approvals convert into qualified business and mass production.
  • Commercial ownership. Own global pricing strategy, RFQs, multi-year agreements, contract negotiations, revenue planning, demand forecasting, and commercial risk management for the Micron account.
  • Pipeline execution. Build and manage a global opportunity pipeline from early technical engagement through qualification, design win, and production. Maintain accurate CRM data, opportunity ownership, and design-win attribution.
  • Voice of the customer. Translate Micron architecture, qualification, quality, sustainability, and supply-continuity requirements into actionable product and technology priorities for YAGEO business units.
  • Business reviews. Plan and lead high-impact QBRs, executive reviews, technology-roadmap discussions, and global account alignment meetings.
  • Competitive strategy. Monitor incumbent and emerging competitors, defend strategic positions, identify whitespace, and articulate YAGEO’s agility, One-Stop-Shop, and Total Solution value proposition.
  • Operational continuity. Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to improve forecast accuracy, manage escalations, support qualifications, and protect supply continuity.

Required Qualifications

  • Micron experience. At least 5 years of direct experience managing, selling to, supporting, or working within the Micron account. Candidates must demonstrate established relationships and practical knowledge of Micron’s organization, decision processes, engineering engagement model, sourcing practices, and global operations.
  • Industry experience. 8+ years of experience in the semiconductor, electronics, power electronics, electronic components, or related technology industry, including at least 5 years in strategic or global account management.
  • Strategic account success. Proven success growing a major semiconductor or Tier-1 technology account, securing design wins, expanding multi-million-dollar business, and influencing stakeholders in a matrixed global organization.
  • Commercial leadership. Demonstrated experience with global pricing, RFQs, contract negotiations, forecasting, revenue planning, and commercial risk management.
  • Technical fluency. Ability to discuss semiconductor systems, power delivery, signal integrity, qualification requirements, product roadmaps, and component-level value with engineering and business stakeholders.
  • Global collaboration. Experience coordinating U.S. customer teams, global sourcing organizations, manufacturing sites, and cross-functional internal teams.
  • Strong executive communication, presentation, negotiation, analytical, and QBR leadership skills.
  • Location and travel. Ability to work in the Boise, Idaho area and travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Business, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Existing relationships across multiple Micron functions, business units, or global sites.
  • Experience with memory, storage, data-center, automotive, mobile, client, embedded, or semiconductor manufacturing applications.
  • Experience with passive components, capacitors, resistors, inductors, magnetics, circuit protection, sensors, or related technologies.
  • Experience selling and coordinating solutions across multiple product lines or business units.
  • Experience managing qualifications, quality escalations, supply continuity, and global manufacturing transitions.

Success Profile

The successful candidate will be credible with Micron from day one, able to navigate a complex global account, connect technical roadmaps to commercial opportunities, and align YAGEO teams around disciplined execution. This person should combine customer intimacy with strong commercial judgment and a measurable focus on design wins, revenue growth, relationship expansion, and supply continuity.
