The Global Ambassador Programme

Every year, thousands of ambitious high school students around the world take part in Crimson Education’s global competitions, from the Harvard Crimson Global Essay and Case Competitions to the LSE Generate Global Innovation Challenge. Behind much of that growth is our Global Ambassador Programme: a worldwide community of student ambassadors who spread the word in their schools and communities and inspire their peers to take part.

We’re looking for an energetic, warm and organised Engagement Co-ordinator to join our team and become the heart of this community. You’ll be the go-to person for our ambassadors, keeping them motivated, supported and connected throughout the year. You’ll also design and lead a brand-new intern programme for high school students who want hands-on experience inside a global company.

If you love working with young people, enjoy building communities from the ground up, and want to make a real difference for students across the globe, we’d love to hear from you!

The Global Ambassador Programme recruits and manages high school students worldwide. It is a referral programme that drives and increases sign-ups for Crimson Education’s global competitions.

Ambassadors earn credit for verified sign-ups, which they can redeem as credit vouchers or as education consulting credit. The programme runs globally and year-round, with activity peaking around each competition's registration window.

About the role

We are looking for an individual to be the main point of contact for the Ambassadors. They require ongoing motivation and support to maintain their momentum. As mentioned above, engagement peaks significantly before a deadline, with a lull in between - this is where Ambassadors need the most support to keep going.

You will lead the Ambassador Intern programme. There are ambitious high school students who want to be involved with the daily operations of the Ambassador programme, and we’d like to give them experience of working in a global company. Each intern should have engaging roles with their own learning trajectory.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for Ambassadors on WhatsApp throughout the week (including weekends), and support them by email (within 48 business hours).

    • Ambassadors are high school students across many time zones, so they may be active in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings. This role involves daily check-ins on WhatsApp, 7 days a week, especially around competition deadlines. You'll have flexibility over when you check in, and much of this can be done in a few minutes from your phone. 7-14 day coverage is most important in the weeks before each registration deadline (early bird and regular).

  • Keep the community active. You will execute a regular rhythm of touchpoints - messages, newsletters, webinars, challenges, shout-outs - timed thoughtfully throughout the year.

  • You will run webinars throughout the year tailored to the interests of the Ambassadors.

  • You will re-engage quiet and struggling Ambassadors and recognise top performers.

  • You will gather feedback through surveys and conversations, and share engagement metrics and recommendations with the Programme Lead regularly.

  • You will collaborate with the HCGCC, HCGEC, SARC and LGIC teams so that Ambassador messaging stays accurate and aligned.

  • Intern programme: you will run the programme end-to-end. Define the programme and intern roles (e.g. content creators, community moderators, etc.), cohort size, time commitment, term length and learning outcomes. Recruit, select, onboard, train, and manage.

  • You will ensure a great Ambassador experience!

What we are looking for:

  • You have experience in student engagement, campus ambassador programmes, volunteer coordination, or a similar people-facing role.

  • You have excellent written and spoken English, with a warm, clear, and upbeat communication style.

  • You are confident talking to high school students across different cultures and time zones.

  • You have experience organising a group, cohort or programme.

  • You are comfortable working with data in spreadsheets (e.g. Google Sheets) to track activity and spot patterns.

  • You have a self-starting, positive and can-do attitude, and are comfortable working remotely with a globally distributed team

  • Social media or content creation skills (Canva, short-form video, newsletters)

  • Familiarity with tools such as Slack, WhatsApp communities, and Typeform

Why you’ll love this role

  • Fully remote with flexible working hours

  • You will have ownership over shaping how the programme suits the Ambassadors best

  • You will have direct impact on high-school students around the world

  • Hands-on experience in community building, programme design, and mentoring of high-school students worldwide
