Global Change Facilitator - Supply Resilience
Help strengthen the global biopharmaceutical supply chain and make a lasting impact on the delivery of medicines to patients.
Make a difference to the future of medicine
What if your ability to bring people together could help solve some of the biggest challenges facing the global pharmaceutical supply chain?
At BioPhorum, we bring together experts from across the global biopharmaceutical industry to collaborate on shared challenges, exchange knowledge and turn collective expertise into meaningful change. Established in 2004, we are a business-to-business membership organisation working with more than 150 organisations, including 18 of the 20 largest global biopharmaceutical companies. Through our collaborative network, more than 7,000 subject matter experts contribute to over 90 initiatives designed to improve the industry.
We are looking for a Global Change Facilitator to join our Supply Resilience Phorum, helping biopharmaceutical manufacturers, suppliers and logistics providers work together to build a more resilient, agile and sustainable global supply chain.
This is an opportunity to combine your scientific understanding, project management expertise and stakeholder engagement skills to address complex industry challenges and support the reliable delivery of high-quality medicines to patients worldwide.
Be at the heart of global supply resilience
About BioPhorum Supply Resilience
BioPhorum Supply Resilience brings together 34 member organisations, including many of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies, to strengthen the inbound biopharmaceutical supply chain. By sharing knowledge, experience and best practice, our members work collectively to anticipate risks, improve supply chain performance and drive innovation across the industry.
Global events, geopolitical uncertainty, increasing demand for raw materials and consumables, and evolving regulatory requirements continue to place pressure on pharmaceutical supply networks. Our members collaborate to develop practical solutions that improve supply chain visibility, strengthen risk management, enhance demand forecasting and support business continuity.
Through dedicated workstreams, members explore opportunities to advance digital transformation, improve traceability, promote regional manufacturing capabilities, address emerging materials of concern and encourage regulatory alignment. The Phorum also develops industry guidance, practical tools and strategic frameworks that help organisations assess their capabilities and identify opportunities for improvement.
By bringing together expertise from across the supply chain, BioPhorum Supply Resilience helps turn shared challenges into coordinated industry action, supporting a safer, more adaptable and sustainable supply network that ultimately benefits patients.
As Global Change Facilitator, you will play a central role in this collaboration. You will guide industry experts through complex discussions, help translate challenges into structured projects and ensure that collective knowledge delivers meaningful, measurable outcomes.
What will you be doing?
- Lead and facilitate workstreams: Guide a portfolio of collaborative initiatives, helping members define priorities, agree objectives and deliver outcomes aligned with BioPhorum's strategy and governance.
- Bring industry experts together: Create engaging, inclusive meetings that encourage open discussion, draw out specialist knowledge and build strong working relationships across manufacturers, suppliers and logistics providers.
- Drive projects forward: Apply your project management skills to establish clear deliverables, manage timelines, monitor progress and keep workstreams focused on achieving their objectives.
- Turn complexity into clarity: Bring together complex scientific, technical, operational and regulatory information and translate it into clear, accessible outputs that support industry-wide understanding and change.
- Deliver meaningful industry outputs: Work with members to develop publications, practical guidance, proof of concepts, business cases, benchmarking tools and conference presentations that address supply chain challenges and demonstrate tangible value.
- Support resilience and innovation: Facilitate discussions on areas such as supply chain risk, demand planning, traceability, digital transformation, materials of concern and business continuity, helping members identify opportunities for improvement.
- Create impactful events: Collaborate with Phorum colleagues and the events team to plan and facilitate engaging virtual and in-person meetings, workshops and industry events.
- Build member engagement: Monitor participation, identify emerging challenges and work with colleagues to maintain momentum, strengthen relationships and support member satisfaction.
- Champion collaboration and continuous improvement: Share member insights, identify opportunities to demonstrate the value of BioPhorum's work and contribute to the ongoing development of our collaborative approach.
Bring your scientific knowledge and people skills together
We are looking for someone who understands the life sciences environment and enjoys bringing people together to solve complex problems. You will be comfortable working with highly knowledgeable industry experts, navigating technical discussions and turning different perspectives into practical action.
A scientific education or background is essential for this role. You will need a solid understanding of scientific and technical concepts to engage credibly with subject matter experts and understand the challenges affecting pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chains.
Experience working within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry would be highly advantageous, particularly in supply chain resilience, raw materials, procurement, manufacturing, quality, logistics, regulatory affairs or related areas. Experience in a CDMO or within pharmaceutical supply chain consulting would also be valuable.
You do not need to be the technical expert in every discussion. However, you should have the scientific grounding, curiosity and confidence to understand complex topics, ask insightful questions and help experts move towards a shared outcome.
You will bring:
- A degree in a relevant scientific discipline, or an equivalent scientific education and background that enables you to engage confidently with complex life sciences topics.
- Experience working within life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, CDMOs or a related technical environment.
- Experience managing projects, programmes or change initiatives, ideally within pharmaceutical manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, logistics or operational excellence.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, build trust, adapt your communication style and bring diverse groups of people on a journey.
- A collaborative mindset and a genuine enjoyment of facilitating constructive discussions, drawing out information and helping groups reach decisions.
- The ability to synthesise complex information and communicate it clearly to different audiences, using plain language to make technical topics accessible.
- Excellent organisation and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, competing priorities and agreed deadlines.
- Sound judgement, initiative and a bias towards action, combined with the flexibility to adapt as priorities and discussions evolve.
- An interest in supply chain resilience, risk management, digital transformation, sustainability and the wider challenges affecting the global pharmaceutical industry.
- A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in a remote, fast-paced and growing organisation.
