Your Role:

As the Global Finance Operations Senior Officer, you'll manage international payments and grant disbursements, ensuring funds reach grassroots movements securely, efficiently and in compliance with financial regulations.

  • Manage and execute international payments, including regular payment runs and resolving delays or failures.
  • Monitor exchange rates and advise colleagues and clients on currency decisions and financial risks.
  • Provide day-to-day financial support to international clients and grassroots groups, resolving queries and maintaining strong relationships.

What You'll Need

  • Part-qualified accountant or qualified by experience (QBE) in a relevant financial control environment.
  • Experience in finance, grantmaking or compliance within humanitarian, nonprofit or philanthropic organisations.
  • Proven experience managing international payments, multi-currency transactions, foreign exchange risks and ledger reconciliations.
  • Experience navigating complex international banking regulations, including payments to high-risk jurisdictions and grassroots networks.
  • Knowledge of financial due diligence, risk management, AML/KYC regulations, Counter-Terrorism Financing and UK charity and banking regulations.
  • Familiarity with international payment platforms and banking systems such as Wise, XE and SWIFT.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and a collaborative, culturally sensitive approach.
