Global Finance Process Excellence Manager – Accounting (m/f/d)

We're looking for a Global Finance Process Excellence Manager to own and transform our end-to-end accounting processes across regions, shared service centres, and business units worldwide.

This is a role for someone who has done the work — designed the process, written the policy, run the workshop, and delivered the implementation — not just advised on it. About the Role

Process Ownership & Governance

• Own the global end-to-end accounting process framework, including standards, policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Drive harmonization and standardization across regions, business units, and shared service centres
• Maintain a global process optimization roadmap — prioritizing opportunities and managing delivery of approved initiative

Transformation & Automation

• Lead process optimization initiatives spanning RPA, agentic automation, workflow redesign, and ERP enhancements
• Collaborate with Product Owners and engineering teams in agile environments — from roadmap planning through sprint reviews
• Leverage process mining, analytics, and benchmarking to surface inefficiencies and industry best practices

Performance & Compliance

• Define, monitor, and report on process KPIs, service levels, and performance targets
• Ensure ongoing compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, audit requirements, and applicable regulatory standards

Stakeholder & Change Management

• Partner with SSC, IT, country/regional finance teams, and external providers to optimize cross-functional process performance
• Lead change management activities — including communication strategies, training design, and technology adoption programmes

About You

Experience

• Experience at a Big 4 firm at Senior Manager level or equivalent — in Finance Transformation, Process Excellence, Accounting Advisory, or Global Business Services (GBS)
• Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end accounting process transformation — not advisory delivery alone
• Hands-on experience delivering multi-country or multi-entity finance transformation projects
• International project experience across Europe or North America is strongly preferred

Technical Skills

• Strong command of end-to-end accounting processes (e.g., R2R, P2P, O2C) with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and finance technology tools
• Familiarity with process automation technologies — RPA, APIs, and workflow tools — is a plus
• Comfort operating in agile delivery environments

Soft Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent stakeholder management skills — able to align and influence across global, regional, and local teams
• Fluent in English (required); additional languages are an advantage
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent) or an advanced degree are a plus
