British American Tobacco UK has an exciting opportunity for a Global Graduate Programme 2027: Operations in London, Chiswick

London | 18 months - fixed term contract | 3 rotations

BAT is evolving at pace into a global multi-category business. Our purpose is to create A Better Tomorrow™ by Building a Smokeless World. To achieve our ambition, we are looking for colleagues who are ready to join us on this journey! Tomorrow can’t wait, let’s shape it together!

British American Tobacco has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate in London. Join our 18-month Global Graduate Programme in Operations and build experience across three business rotations. From your first weeks you will contribute to real business projects from day one, collaborating with colleagues across Operations, Supply Chain and wider business functions. As you progress through the programme, you will build your understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, from planning and logistics to manufacturing and supply network management, while helping teams solve operational challenges and deliver business results.

Each graduate will experience a unique experience, shaped around business priorities and your development needs. To give you an idea of the type of work you will be doing, previous placements have included:

  • Supply chain, logistics and operational improvement initiatives
  • Analysis of operational performance, supply chain and business data
  • Identification, development and implementation of process improvement opportunities
  • Presenting insights and recommendations to leadership teams
  • Contributing to cross-functional and cross-market projects across Europe

You will not be doing this alone. A dedicated coach and mentor will support your development, alongside structured learning and a global network of fellow graduates. In addition to this, you will get the opportunity to attend our International Grad Academy where you will collaborate in person with BAT graduates from around the world. By the end of the programme, you will have built the commercial, strategic and leadership capabilities needed to take the next step in your career with BAT.

What are we looking for?

Requirements

  • A recent graduate with an undergraduate or Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering, logistics, Business, or a related field
  • Prior exposure to operations, supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, or business activities is preferred
  • English fluency (written and spoken)
  • Proven leadership skills through professional experience, academic projects, or extra-curricular activities

What it takes to succeed:

  • Results-driven, analytical and collaborative approach
  • The confidence and communication skills to translate sophisticated analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach, with the ability to take ownership and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • An appetite for continuous learning and a desire to develop new technical, operational and leadership capabilities
  • A naturally curious and problem-solving attitude, always seeking to understand root causes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with an interest in using data and insights to improve efficiency, quality, service and business performance
  • The ability to work effectively across functions, cultures and geographies, building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Adaptability and resilience when managing changing priorities and complex business challenges
  • A genuine interest in Operations, Supply Chain and how products move from planning and production through to delivery
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel across Western Europe and broader BAT markets as required

What you’ll get

  • The chance to progress from graduate to Junior Manager in 18 months.
  • We offer a market leading annual performance bonus (subject to eligibility)
  • Our range of benefits varies by country and includes diverse health plans, initiatives for work-life balance, transportation support, and a flexible holiday plan with additional incentives
  • Access to Graduate training programmes, digital learning platforms, and tailored development experiences designed to strengthen your leadership skills and accelerate your professional growth.
  • Dedicated support from both a coach and mentor, helping you accelerate your development, expand your network, and navigate your career with confidence throughout the programme.
