About the Role
As Global Insights Manager, you will champion the voice of the consumer across the Global Consumer Tissue Category teams and ensure that consumer understanding is embedded in key strategic and operational decisions.
You will lead a broad range of insights initiatives, from understanding consumer needs and evaluating propositions, concepts and communication to strengthening brand health and identifying future growth opportunities. You will combine primary research with market, brand and business data to create a holistic understanding of consumers and translate that understanding into clear business actions.
A key part of the role will be partnering with Category, Brand, Marketing and Innovation teams, bringing an independent consumer perspective and challenging the organisation to make evidence-based, consumer-centric choices.
What You Will Do
- Lead the consumer insights agenda across the Global Consumer Tissue Category teams, championing consumer-centricity and providing strategic recommendations that support brand and category growth.
- Lead consumer learning across communication and creative development, applying insights throughout the development and evaluation process to strengthen communication effectiveness and help teams build more impactful consumer-facing communication.
- Drive cross-category Brand Health and Superiority programs, strengthening understanding of brand equity, perceived brand and product superiority, and the key consumer drivers of brand performance and sustainable growth.
- Design and lead qualitative and quantitative research across diverse business questions, including consumer understanding, brand strategy, innovation, proposition and concept development, ensuring the right methodologies and approaches are applied.
- Integrate and analyse consumer, brand, market and business data, translating findings into compelling insights, clear recommendations and concrete business actions; leverage trends and foresight to identify emerging consumer needs and future growth opportunities.
- Advance the way we generate insights, adopting agile and innovative research approaches, new technologies and AI to accelerate learning, deepen consumer understanding and improve decision making.
Who You Are
- An experienced Consumer Insights professional with broad client-side experience within a large FMCG or consumer goods organisation, ideally working with established global brands and across multiple markets.
- Experienced across a broad range of Consumer Insights areas, with the ability to independently address strategic business questions across brand, communication, innovation and consumer understanding.
- Strong in qualitative and quantitative research, communication and creative evaluation, with the ability to select the right methodologies and translate consumer learning into recommendations that strengthen marketing effectiveness.
- Hands-on with analysis and research, with experience working directly with data and using DIY/agile research and analytics tools, rather than relying solely on external research suppliers; comfortable personally exploring data, testing hypotheses and generating insights.
- A strong business partner with experience working directly with Marketing, Brand, Category and Innovation teams, able to turn complex insights into clear recommendations, influence stakeholders and constructively challenge existing thinking.
- Experience with Brand Health and/or Consumer Superiority programs is a strong advantage; experience with consumer trends and foresight is also an advantage. Curious about innovative research approaches, emerging technologies and practical applications of AI in Consumer Insights.
