As Global Key Account Manager, you will serve as the global commercial lead for one of Croda's most strategically important Beauty & Personal Care customers. The account is an industry leader in its segment and offers the opportunity of re-shaping our strategy and approaching them. You will strengthen senior relationships, anticipate shifting priorities, and position Croda as a trusted strategic partner.

This is a highly visible leadership role requiring commercial judgement, organizational agility, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across a complex global matrix. Success will depend on protecting current value while converting innovation and pipeline into profitable growth opportunities.

First-Year Priorities:

  • Establish strong relationships with existing and emerging decisionmakers across the evolving customer organization.
  • Assess how organizational and strategic changes affect current business, development projects, stakeholder access, and the long-term account plan.
  • Refine commercial strategy to protect current business performance while identifying new opportunities, both for short as well as long-term.

What Success Looks Like

Global Account Strategy & Business Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a long-term global account strategy aligned with customer priorities and Croda growth objectives.
  • Anticipate and respond proactively to changes in customer leadership, structure, strategy, and decision-making.
  • Maintain and expand Croda's influence within the account.
  • Broaden relationships beyond current contacts to create resilient access across senior commercial, innovation, procurement, and R&D stakeholders.

Innovation Partnerships & Pipeline Growth:

  • Expand the opportunity pipeline through deeper collaboration with customer R&D and innovation teams.
  • Protect strategically important existing projects while identifying new opportunities created by the evolving customer organization.
  • Support priority projects from concept through commercial implementation.
  • Translate changing customer priorities and emerging trends into opportunities for Croda's innovation, technical, and commercial teams.

Commercial Growth & Risk Management:

  • Deliver sustainable revenue, margin, and market share growth across the global account, meeting internal objectives and targets
  • Mitigate commercial risks associated with changing customer strategy, structures, projects, and leadership teams.
  • Develop scenario and contingency plans that protect existing value and position Croda for future growth.
  • Drive pricing, value-selling, and commercial strategy in partnership with regional sales teams.

Customer Influence & Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Build alignment across Sales, Marketing, R&D, Beauty Care Development, Supply Chain, and business leadership teams.
  • Lead through influence, ensuring regional teams operate against one coherent global account strategy.
  • Function as the primary escalation and coordination point for significant customer issues and transition risks.
  • Strengthen Croda's position as a trusted innovation partner and strategic collaborator.

Delivery: Translate long-term account plans into measurable pipeline, revenue, margin, and market-share outcomes.

Authenticity: Build trusted relationships through transparency, credibility, resilience, and customer-focused leadership.

Experience & Expertise:

  • Significant global key-account management, strategic-account leadership, or business-development experience within Beauty & Personal Care, Consumer Care, specialty chemicals, ingredients, or a related market.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex global customer relationships and long-term account strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across regions, functions, and cultures.
  • Ability to rapidly build credibility with new decisionmakers and navigate evolving stakeholder landscapes.
  • Proven ability to generate pipeline, improve conversion, and deliver sustainable sales and margin growth.
  • Strong understanding of innovation, formulation, and R&D processes within the Beauty & Personal Care markets.
  • Strong negotiation, commercial planning, pricing, and value-selling capability.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders across large global organizations and leading through a matrix.

Role Scope:

Global commercial leadership responsibility for a strategic Beauty & Personal Care customer. The role partners closely with regional and local sales teams, Marketing, Innovation, R&D, Supply Chain, and business leadership to protect current value, navigate customer transformation, drive profitable growth, and build long-term innovation partnerships. The role reports to the Global Sales Director and may be offered on a remote or hybrid basis, with preference for proximity to Croda innovation centers or sales offices in the United States.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time position based at our Princeton, NJ site preferred but can sit anywhere on the East Coast.

Annual Base Salary Range: $137,000 to $228,000.
