- Establish and enforce global standards, SOPs, and best practices (DC layouts, labeling, cabling, hot/cold aisle, access controls).
- Define and monitor SLAs/OLAs for site operations; drive continuous improvement via KPIs and post-incident reviews.
- Hardware Deployment, Racking & Stacking
- Lead planning and execution of server, storage, network, and appliance installs (rack elevation plans, power/cooling checks, structured cabling).
- Oversee decommissioning, data sanitization, and responsible disposal.
- Cabling and Physical Layer
- Govern structured cabling standards (copper/fiber), patching, labeling, and pathway management.
- Coordinate with facilities for power distribution (PDUs/UPS), environmental monitoring, and remediation.
- Asset Lifecycle & Capacity
- Own asset inventory and CMDB accuracy and audit readiness.
- Forecast capacity (space, power, cooling, ports, IPAM) and plan expansions, migrations, and consolidations.
- Monitoring & Reliability Management
- Implement and tune monitoring/observability; build actionable alerting and dashboards.
- Assist with major incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective actions; manage on-call rotations.
- Change & Release Management
- Contribute to the change process; ensure methodical planning, risk assessment, and execution for production changes.
- Maintain configuration-as-code and standard builds where feasible; document runbooks and rollback plans.

- Negotiate SOWs/SLAs, track performance, and coordinate site access and audits.
- Security, Compliance & Safety
- Enforce physical security and access controls, visitor procedures, and safety protocols (e.g., LOTO, ESD, lifting).
- Ensure adherence to relevant standards/policies (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST-aligned controls as applicable).
