About PandaPay

PandaPay is developing its international payments capabilities across markets with different payment partners and regulatory environments. We value practical compliance support that helps teams identify risks, maintain clear documentation, and operate responsibly.

About the Role

PandaPay is seeking a part-time, remote compliance professional to provide focused operational support for cross-border payment activities. The role will help maintain AML/KYC records, support routine compliance checks, track regulatory developments, and prepare documentation for review by the relevant internal compliance or legal lead. The engagement is intended for a clearly defined, limited scope and does not require the individual to independently own Luxembourg regulatory compliance or lead an EMI licence application.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational AML/KYC support: Assist with risk-based KYC/KYB file reviews, customer due diligence checks, sanctions-screening follow-up, and transaction-monitoring escalations using established procedures.
  • Documentation and recordkeeping: Maintain compliance trackers, review logs, evidence files, and action lists; identify missing information and follow up with relevant teams.
  • Policy and procedure support: Assist with updating existing compliance procedures, checklists, and risk-control documents based on instructions from the internal compliance lead.
  • Payment partner support: Help collect and organise due-diligence documents for PSPs, banking partners, and other third parties; flag gaps for review.
  • Regulatory monitoring support: Track relevant Luxembourg/EU regulatory updates and prepare short summaries for review; do not provide independent legal opinions.
  • Audit and remediation support: Help prepare documents for internal reviews or audits and monitor remediation actions against agreed deadlines.
  • Escalation: Promptly escalate unusual activity, material compliance concerns, or issues requiring regulatory interpretation to the designated internal lead.

Requirements

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in AML/KYC, compliance operations, payments, fintech, banking, or a related financial-services environment.
  • Practical understanding of KYC/KYB, CDD/EDD, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and compliance documentation.
  • Working knowledge of Luxembourg and/or EU AML and payments requirements; direct Luxembourg experience is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, written English, and ability to work independently on clearly defined tasks.
  • Eligible to provide remote services from the relevant jurisdiction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cross-border payments, PSPs, or payment partner onboarding.
  • Familiarity with CSSF materials, EBA guidance, or regulatory audit documentation.
  • ·CAMS, ICA, or other relevant compliance training/certification.

Engagement Model and Scope

  • Part-time service-provider engagement with a limited monthly allocation of hours, to be agreed based on the final scope and priorities.
  • ·Work priorities and deliverables will be agreed in advance; flexible scheduling is possible, subject to agreed deadlines and escalation availability.
  • The initial scope is operational support, documentation, and routine compliance checks—not independent
