At Novonesis, the Global Regulatory Affairs HHC & Industrial team operates in a dynamic international environment, supporting several of our Planetary Health businesses. Our mission is to enable the development, maintenance, and launch of safe, compliant biosolutions that create value for customers and support sustainable growth. You will join a collaborative team of regulatory professionals with diverse scientific, cultural, and market expertise, working closely with colleagues across Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Quality, Product Safety, R&D, Product Management Teams, and Commercial functions worldwide. The role plays a critical part in supporting the implementation of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) by ensuring that packaging changes are assessed from a product regulatory and market access perspective.
The role & your impact
As Global Regulatory Affairs Specialist, Product Regulatory - PPWR, you will support the PPWR program from a product regulatory perspective. In this global role, you will help ensure compliance, protect market access, and support business continuity by assessing the impact of packaging changes across diverse markets and regulatory frameworks.
- Assess the regulatory impact of PPWR-driven packaging changes on product registrations, labels, compliance documentation, and market access across global markets.
- Develop practical regulatory frameworks, tools, and guidance that enable project teams to identify risks, requirements, and implementation timelines.
- Act as the Product Regulatory Affairs representative within PPWR workstreams, providing clear regulatory recommendations that support business continuity and informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to align regulatory requirements, monitor emerging developments, and translate complex regulations into actionable business guidance.
What you'll need to be successful in this role
- A Master's degree in Regulatory Affairs, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, Environmental Science, Packaging Science, or another relevant scientific discipline.
- 4-5 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, Product Compliance, product registration, market access, or related regulatory roles within biotechnology, food ingredients, biosolutions, chemicals, or other regulated industries.
- Experience interpreting regulatory requirements and translating them into practical business actions, risk assessments, and implementation plans.
- Experience assessing the regulatory impact of product or packaging changes on registrations, labels, dossiers, technical documentation, and market access.
- Strong stakeholder management, project collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across global teams and communicate fluently in English.
Additional skills & interests we value
- Knowledge of EU PPWR and packaging-related product compliance requirements.
- Experience with Food Contact Materials, hazardous substance restrictions, PFAS/heavy metal requirements, EPR schemes, or related legislation.
- Experience with regulatory intelligence, regulatory information management systems, product lifecycle management, or digital tracking tools.
- Experience preparing regulatory position papers, decision memos, leadership updates, or risk-based regulatory recommendations.
- A passion for continuous improvement and building scalable regulatory processes.

Working conditions
This is a hybrid role based in Hørsholm, Denmark, with a minimum of three days per week spent in the office and up to two days working from home. You will collaborate closely with global and regional stakeholders across multiple time zones, providing the opportunity to work in a truly international environment. Occasional travel may be required depending on PPWR project activities and stakeholder engagement.
