As part of this commitment, we are looking to hire an enthusiastic and passionate candidate, eager to contribute to our continued success through the following employment opportunity: About the Role The Global Settlements Administration Analyst is responsible for supporting the domestic and international Derivative investment settlement process. This includes, but is not limited to, providing timely and accurate support to Traders, Portfolio Managers, Analysts and Client Services. The main responsibilities of the position involve Confirming, Instructing and Settling all Cash movements involving, but not limited to, Collateral, Futures, TBA’s, Factor Updates, Options, Swaps, Foreign Exchanges, Repo’s and Trade Related Interest discrepancies. About the Team Cash Settlements partners with the Security Settlements team as part of the Global Settlements group in the Investment Operations Department. Cash Settlements consists of four Administrators, a Senior Administrator and a team Manager. The team works in a remote environment with flexibility to use the Boston office when required. Job Responsibilities Resolution of Settlement Variances – Work with brokers, custodians and other agencies to ensure timely settlement of cash. Resolve any cash settlement variances and settlement failures in order to avoid monetary or trading sanctions. Cash Matching – Supervise internal systems to ensure that block trades and allocations match accurately and that cash settlement instructions are accurately communicated to brokers and custodian banks. Verify that affirmations/confirmations have been processed and delivered to brokers and custodian banks. Research and correct any mismatched trades by verifying internal trade data with our trading area and verifying data with brokers as necessary. Maintain files of matched trades as the need arises by internal standards and regulatory requirements. Trade Notification – Monitor internal systems to ensure SWIFT notifications are accurately sent to custodian banks. Ensure proper notification of all non-SWIFT trades through affirmations or faxes. Maintenance of Portfolio Management System – Using control reports, verify that daily system batches completed accurately and that no failures occurred. Research any warning messages and update security master, broker master and account information as necessary to ensure smooth processing. Security Master File Maintenance – Create and update securities on system as needed by users. Using Bloomberg and other data sources, enrich our database to provide data needed for accurate investment analytic calculations. Manage internal relationships between Cash Settlements and other departments to improve efficiency and maintain optimum level of communication. Qualifications & Education Requirements Knowledge of Derivatives Strong interest in investment operations and investment management Proficiency in standard office automation packages such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, Lotus Notes Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Experience with SWIFT, ALERT, Ops Manager, Charles River, DTCC and GTSS preferred Working knowledge of Foreign Exchanges, Currency and Equity Options, Futures, TBA’s, Swaps, Factored Securities and Collateral. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or management. Two to three years of experience in an investment operations department or similar role. Additional Requirements Strong written and verbal skills required for communicating internally and externally through email and phone. Also, strong time management and organizational skills are a must, along with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Loomis Sayles is committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $80,000 USD . Your starting salary will be based on your experience, skills, qualifications and local benchmarking. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award, which is based on individual and company performance.
