Job Description Summary

The Solution Engineer is a highly autonomous, client-facing member of Teciem’s Global Solution Consulting team, focused on uncovering client challenges, identifying solution opportunities, qualifying deals, advancing pipeline, and supporting revenue growth across the Treasury and Capital Markets portfolio.

Working with AEs, NNN sellers, Account Managers, and SDRs, the consultant leads early discovery and qualification, develops client-specific value hypotheses, identifies potential fit across Teciem’s product suite, and defines the most appropriate next engagement. The role requires customer curiosity, commercial awareness, consultative communication, and the ability to work independently while engaging product specialists and senior GSC colleagues when deeper expertise is required.

This is a development role with a clear path to Senior Solution Consultant and future primary-product allocation. Broad portfolio familiarity is expected initially; deep product expertise is developed over time. RFP, demo, and follow-up coordination remain supporting responsibilities rather than the primary purpose of the role.

Job Description

What will you contribute?

You will help Teciem create and progress opportunities by understanding the client’s business, identifying meaningful problems, connecting those problems to relevant capabilities, and building confidence in the proposed next step. You will work directly with client and prospect stakeholders across Treasury, Front Office, Middle Office/Risk, Back Office/Operations, Finance, and Technology, while partnering closely with Sales and the wider Teciem organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead early client discovery and qualification conversations to understand business challenges, current processes, pain points, impact, stakeholders, priorities, constraints, and desired outcomes.

  • Help clients clarify the underlying business problem when the initial request is incomplete or product-led.

  • Partner with Sales and SDRs to identify likely solution fit, shape opportunities, improve qualification, and agree next steps that advance pipeline.

  • Contribute client insight, discovery questions, use cases, and value hypotheses to prospecting, account planning, and existing-client growth activities.

  • Assess opportunity quality and recommend whether to advance, reshape, redirect, defer, or qualify out.

  • Develop working familiarity with the use cases, value propositions, target markets, buyer personas, and boundaries of Teciem’s Treasury and Capital Markets products.

  • Translate client pain points into clear problem statements, initial solution narratives, value propositions, stakeholder maps, and engagement plans.

  • Guide less-experienced sellers on Treasury context and qualification while preserving the seller’s ownership of the commercial relationship and forecast.

  • Assist senior GSC consultants with Shape-Fit and Solution-Fit activities and progressively own defined client-facing workstreams.

  • Translate discovery into effective demonstration briefs and support presenter preparation, storyline, environment readiness, and client follow-up.

  • Support assigned RFI/RFP responses using the RFP AI team and approved content, coordinating only the contributors and reviews necessary for a high-quality, on-time response.

  • Maintain accurate, decision-useful opportunity information in Salesforce and agreed GSC tools.

  • Use approved AI tools responsibly to support research, summaries, discovery preparation, and proposal content while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, source validation, and human review.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong discovery, active listening, consultative questioning, synthesis, and business-problem definition skills.

  • Commercial curiosity and the ability to identify value, urgency, stakeholder needs, decision criteria, and opportunity potential.

  • Working knowledge of financial institutions, Treasury, Capital Markets, risk, operations, payments, lending, or related banking processes.

  • Ability to discuss workflows across Front Office, Middle Office/Risk, Back Office/Operations, Finance/Accounting, and Technology.

  • Clear, concise, confident communication with clients, sellers, specialists, and senior stakeholders.

  • Ability to articulate solution fit and business outcomes without relying on feature-led presentations.

  • Autonomy, sound judgment, accountability for next steps, and the ability to involve the right specialist at the right time.

  • Collaborative seller partnership without taking over the commercial opportunity.

  • Comfort with enterprise software, Salesforce or comparable CRM, Microsoft 365, presentations, AI-assisted tools, and virtual client engagement.

  • Ability to discuss cloud, APIs, integrations, data, reporting, security, and managed services at a business and solution-context level.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Typically 3–7 years of relevant experience in financial technology, banking, consulting, implementation, business analysis, customer success, product consulting, sales support, or presales.

  • Demonstrated client-facing experience involving discovery, problem solving, solution definition, opportunity development, or business consulting.

  • Experience with Treasury and Capital Markets platforms is advantageous, but deep expertise in every product is not required.

  • Fluent English. Professional Spanish is strongly preferred; Portuguese is advantageous.

  • Willingness and ability to travel across the Americas as required.

Development Opportunity

The successful candidate will build broad cross-portfolio knowledge, become independently effective in early discovery and opportunity advancement, and progressively own more complex client-facing solution work. Based on demonstrated capability and business demand, the consultant will develop expertise in an agreed primary product and progress toward Senior Solution Consultant.
