Global Sourcing Lead

ROLE SUMMARY

The Global Sourcing Team Lead leads the manufacturer sourcing function within Business

Development, overseeing a small team responsible for identifying, qualifying, and engaging

manufacturers across global markets.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining team management with international supplier

research, quotation review, negotiation, and sourcing problem-solving. The ideal candidate is

resourceful, commercially minded, and experienced in working directly with overseas

manufacturers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and support a small team of Sourcing Specialists across active sourcing projects

• Identify and qualify manufacturers across China, Southeast Asia, the Americas, and

other global markets

• Review supplier quotations, pricing, MOQs, lead times, capabilities, and commercial

terms

• Communicate and negotiate directly with international manufacturers

• Manage sourcing priorities and ensure projects progress within expected timelines

• Research new product categories and manufacturing markets

• Resolve sourcing challenges, supplier response delays, and manufacturer capability gaps

• Build and maintain a strong network of qualified manufacturers

• Improve supplier research, qualification, and sourcing processes

• Collaborate closely with Business Development, Pricing, and Product Development

teams

• Utilize Alibaba, supplier databases, web research, and AI tools to support

manufacturer discovery and sourcing

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience in global sourcing, procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or

supplier development

• Hands-on experience working directly with international manufacturers and suppliers

• Strong supplier research, qualification, and negotiation skills

• Experience reviewing RFQs, supplier quotations, pricing, MOQs, and lead times

• Experience leading, supervising, or mentoring team members

• Excellent spoken and written English

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Resourceful and comfortable solving unfamiliar sourcing challenges

• Able to manage multiple active projects in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with Alibaba, international purchasing, imports/exports, or sourcing

from Asia is an advantag
