Show job description

Every sales call starts with a list, and someone decides who is on it. In this role, that's you. You'll work in our dedicated Data & Operations team, find the right people for the sales teams of 15+ companies to call, and take on more responsibility as you learn.

Haypoint is a Finnish growth-stage company in the SaaS sector. We support technology-driven portfolio companies across Europe in customer acquisition and sales development, and we run their sales from first outreach to closing and onboarding. Our portfolio includes companies such as Vello, Askem, and Applixure. We're an international team of around 50 people, and we're growing fast. Now we're hiring a trainee to join our Data & Operations team.

At a glance

  • Role: Go-To-Market (GTM) Trainee, Data & Operations team
  • Location: Based in Finland, ideally within reach of our Helsinki office (Kuortaneenkatu 2)
  • Work model: Hybrid. We'd like to see you at the office regularly: it's where you learn fastest, working next to the team and talking directly with the sales teams
  • Hours: Part-time, permanent contract. Minimum 60 h/month, with a target of 80 h/month (on average 15–20 h/week).
  • Languages: English (working language). Finnish is not required, any other language is a plus
  • Salary: Competitive, based on your experience

What this role is

You build the lists the sales teams call. You don't make the sales calls yourself. The sales teams depend on you for the right people to call, so the better your work, the better their calls and results.

What you'll do

  • From the start: take lead requests from the sales teams to the final list in the calling tool. Work out what the team needs, find the best way to get those leads through different methods and tools, make sure the data is right, and deliver. It's not plug-and-play. It's a process of learning what works best and doing it
  • As you grow: get closer to the sales team leads and decide together which leads to go for and from which angle
  • Try new AI and lead generation tools, methods and automations, and bring what works into how we do things
  • Over time, take ownership of parts of our lead generation process, such as specific tools, methods, or the contact with certain sales teams

What you'll learn

You'll learn how to understand what a sales team and a portfolio company need, and how to fill that gap with the right leads. We work with 15+ portfolio companies across Europe, each selling different software to different buyers, so you get a lot of exposure and learning opportunities.

The value in our team is not in doing only what the sales teams ask. It's in understanding what our portfolio companies are trying to achieve, and using the feedback on earlier lists and current leads to find leads with the best signals and hooks, so the sales teams reach the right people. That takes listening to the sales teams, understanding the company and the market, and combining that with what the tools can do.

We work AI-first, and lead generation, sales tools and automations keep changing, so we expect you to stay on top of that and to come up with new things to test that you believe will make a difference. If that sounds like you, this is the role. Do it well and there's room to grow into much more responsibility, and to see your work turn into more booked meetings, more closed deals, and growth for our portfolio companies.

What we expect from you

  • Studying at, or graduated from, a university or university of applied sciences, ideally in business, data, AI, marketing or another relevant field
  • Experience and knowledge of AI tools (we mainly use Claude, but ChatGPT or similar are fine), and an AI-first way of working: you delegate tasks to AI, give clear instructions, and check its output critically
  • Experience and knowledge of using AI connected to other tools, such as MCP connections, Claude Code or another CLI
  • Good Excel skills

It's a plus if you have

  • Experience in sales, sales operations or GTM. Studies, side projects, and work all count
  • No-code automation (n8n, Make, Zapier)
  • Lead generation tools (Clay, Firecrawl, Leadfeeder or similar)
  • CRM and productivity tools (Notion, HubSpot, GitHub or similar)
  • Other languages

Working at Haypoint

What unites us is an interest in the startup environment and the drive to keep getting better. We're a small team with low hierarchy, so you get a lot of responsibility early on and your ideas are heard. Nobody here hands you a ready-made to-do list. We expect you to spot opportunities and run with them. You get training and guidance, and we work with you closely in the beginning.
