Role Summary:

Client is seeking a dedicated GoAnywhere MFT Administrator to manage, optimize, and secure enterprise-wide file transfer operations. In this role, you will be the primary subject matter expert responsible for the architecture, automation, and administration of the GoAnywhere platform. You will work closely with Epic EHR integration teams, external healthcare vendors, and internal security teams to ensure the reliable and compliant exchange of critical clinical, financial, and operational data (PHI/PII).

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Administration & Maintenance

• Administer and maintain the GoAnywhere MFT platform, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and 24/7 high availability (clustering/load balancing).
  

• Perform software upgrades, patch management, and capacity planning for the GoAnywhere environments (Dev, Test, Prod).
  

• Manage GoAnywhere agents deployed across distributed internal servers.
  

Workflow Automation & Engineering

• Design, build, and deploy complex, multi-step automated workflows (Projects) to replace manual scripting and streamline ETL processes.
  

• Configure and onboard new external trading partners, vendors, and internal business units, defining custom file transfer rules and triggers.
  

• Integrate GoAnywhere workflows with database servers (SQL Server), local file systems, SMB/network shares, and cloud storage (Azure/AWS).
  

Security, Encryption & Compliance

• Serve as the custodian for secure data transmission, ensuring all file movements comply with HIPAA and HITECH standards.
  

• Generate and manage SSL/TLS certificates, SSH keys, and PGP/GPG encryption keys.
  

• Configure and maintain secure server protocols including SFTP, FTPS, AS2, and HTTPS.
  

• Monitor audit logs, build custom dashboards, and generate automated reports for internal security audits and regulatory compliance.
  

Troubleshooting & Support

• Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for all file transfer failures, connection timeouts, and authentication issues.
  

• Collaborate with Network/Firewall teams to troubleshoot IP whitelisting, port routing, and DMZ configuration (GoAnywhere Gateway).
  

• Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical hospital data feeds.
  

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience administering GoAnywhere MFT (Fortra) in an enterprise environment.
  

• Strong understanding of secure file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, AS2, SCP, HTTPS).
  

• Demonstrated experience managing encryption standards (OpenPGP, AES) and certificate/key lifecycles.
  

• Proficiency in building automated MFT workflows, incorporating error handling, email alerting, and retry logic.
  

• Solid understanding of network principles (Firewalls, DMZ, DNS, Load Balancers) and how they relate to file transfer traffic.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in the Healthcare industry with a strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and PHI data handling.
  

• Familiarity with Epic EHR data integration and standard healthcare data formats (HL7, EDI X12).
  

• Experience administering GoAnywhere Gateway (reverse proxy) in the DMZ.
  

• Basic scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) to assist with auxiliary automation tasks.
  

• GoAnywhere Certified Professional (MFT) credential is a strong plus.
