Our Enterprise Governance Office fosters a culture of trust, transparency, and accountability, enabling Co-operators to achieve its strategic objectives while supporting directors and management in fulfilling their governance and fiduciary responsibilities. As a Governance Intern based in our Guelph office, you will gain hands-on experience supporting key governance initiatives, contributing to business transformation projects, and enhancing the processes and systems that underpin effective corporate governance.

How you will create impact:

  • Support governance records management initiatives.
  • Assist in the implementation and organization of a new digital governance repository, ensuring records are accurate, accessible, and appropriately maintained.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of corporate secretariat activities.
  • Provide support to various functions within the Enterprise Governance Office as required.

  • You use critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions, and proactively propose solutions.
  • You are well organized and detail oriented.
  • You have a proven ability to prioritize and deal with multiple tasks of varying and competing nature.
  • You have the ability to work both independently and as a team member in a demanding environment.
  • You have strong computing skills and are apt & quick to learn new digital tools.

Important Information:

  • You must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program and eligible to complete a work term as part of your academic requirements.
