Graduate Automotive Technical Support Engineer (German-Speaking)

Are you an experienced automotive technician who loves finding the root cause of a fault? Would you like to use that expertise from a desk instead of the workshop floor?

Join MSX International's new Technical Support team in Budapest. You will help workshop technicians in the German-speaking dealer network of a leading global car manufacturer diagnose and fix vehicles right the first time. Your hands-on diagnostic experience is what counts.

What you will do

As a Graduate Technical Support Engineer, you will help dealership technicians solve technical vehicle issues and improve repair efficiency.

Your daily activities will include:

• Analysing vehicle faults, diagnostic data, error codes, and repair information.
• Supporting German-speaking dealership technicians through our professional ticketing platform.
• Investigating technical problems and identifying root causes.
• Recommending effective repair solutions under the guidance of experienced specialists.
• Documenting cases clearly and accurately.
• Collaborating with engineering and technical experts across Europe.
• Developing expertise in electric vehicle (EV) and high-voltage technologies.

What you bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Strong interest in automotive technology and vehicle diagnostics.
• German language skills (minimum B1 level; you should feel comfortable learning and using technical German).
• Good English communication skills.
• Analytical mindset and a passion for solving technical challenges.
• EU citizenship or the right to work within the European Union.
• Willingness to relocate to Budapest or already based in Hungary.

Nice to have

• High-voltage / EV qualification (e.g. DGUV 209-093 level 2S/3S or equivalent)
• Experience with a technical hotline, warranty or ticketing tools

• HUF 800,000–900,000 gross per month
• Hybrid work from Budapest, with flexible home office (living elsewhere in Hungary? Talk to us!)
