About The Role

UCM is hiring a Graduate Recruitment Consultant to join our growing international recruitment team, with opportunities across UCM Education UK, UCM Middle East and UCM Global.

This is an opportunity for a hungry, ambitious graduate or early-career professional who wants more than a standard entry-level role and is interested in building a genuine international recruitment career.

You will develop your recruitment skills across candidate sourcing, screening, relationship-building and pipeline management, contributing directly to successful placements and taking increasing ownership as you develop.

Depending on your strengths and the needs of the business, you may work primarily on candidate recruitment or within a role that also includes some structured client outreach, such as contacting target organisations and following up professionally. Previous business development experience is not required, as the structure, target markets and processes will be provided.

As you develop, you will take increasing ownership of your market — building your network, understanding where to find strong candidates and becoming increasingly responsible for driving recruitment activity and results.

UCM Education has operated in the UK education recruitment market for over 11 years, with an established candidate database, experienced consultants and a strong market network.

Previous recruitment experience is not required. We are much more interested in your intelligence, communication, ambition, resilience, coachability and evidence of achievement and ownership.

For someone with the right potential, this offers a clear route to greater responsibility, uncapped commission, increased earning potential and genuine ownership of a recruitment desk.

What You'll Be Doing

• Sourcing suitable candidates through our existing database, job boards and other recruitment channels
• Reviewing CVs and assessing candidate suitability
• Conducting candidate screening and qualification calls
• Speaking regularly with candidates and professionals across the markets you support
• Building strong, professional candidate relationships
• Keeping your candidate pipeline active through consistent follow-up
• Proactively identifying strong candidates rather than relying only on applications
• Progressing suitable candidates through the recruitment process
• Updating the recruitment CRM accurately and consistently
• Working towards recruitment activity, pipeline and placement targets
• Developing your knowledge of your recruitment market and target sectors
• Taking increasing ownership of your desk as your capability develops

A university degree is strongly preferred.

Preferred Backgrounds

We welcome strong graduates from a wide range of disciplines, particularly:

• Marketing
• Communications
• Education
• Sociology or other Social Sciences
• English, Languages or other communication-focused degrees

However, your degree subject is not the deciding factor. We are more interested in how well you communicate, what you have achieved, the responsibility you have taken and the potential you demonstrate. Previous experience in recruitment, sales, customer service, business development, HR or another people-facing environment can be an advantage, but it is not required.
