About The Role

UCM Education is hiring a Graduate Recruitment Consultant to join our growing UK Education Recruitment team as we expand our Primary and SEN operation into new UK markets.

This is an opportunity for a hungry, ambitious graduate or early-career professional who wants more than a standard entry-level role and is interested in building a genuine international recruitment career.

You will initially focus on the candidate side of a recruitment desk covering a specific region, sourcing and building relationships with education professionals, developing a strong candidate pipeline and contributing directly to successful placements.

As you develop, you will take increasing ownership of your market — building your own network, understanding where to find strong candidates and ultimately becoming responsible for driving the candidate side of your desk.

UCM Education has operated in the UK education recruitment market for over 11 years, with an established candidate database, experienced consultants and a strong market network.

Previous recruitment experience is not required. We are much more interested in your intelligence, communication, ambition, resilience, coachability and evidence of achievement and ownership.

For someone with the right potential, this offers a clear route to greater responsibility, uncapped commission, increased earning potential and genuine ownership of a recruitment desk.

What You'll Be Doing

• Sourcing suitable candidates through our existing database, job boards and other recruitment channels
• Reviewing CVs and assessing candidate suitability
• Conducting candidate screening and qualification calls
• Speaking regularly with teachers, teaching assistants, SEN staff and other education professionals
• Building strong, professional candidate relationships
• Keeping your candidate pipeline active through consistent follow-up
• Proactively identifying strong candidates rather than relying only on applications
• Progressing suitable candidates through the recruitment process
• Updating the recruitment CRM accurately and consistently
• Working towards recruitment activity, pipeline and placement targets
• Developing your knowledge of the UK education market and your geographic area
• Taking increasing ownership of your desk as your capability develops

A university degree is strongly preferred.

Preferred Backgrounds

• English, Languages or other communication-focused degrees

However, your degree subject is not the deciding factor. We are more interested in how well you communicate, what you have achieved, the responsibility you have taken and the potential you demonstrate. Previous experience in recruitment, sales, customer service, business development, HR or another people-facing environment can be an advantage, but it is not required.
