About our Market Access Team Craft

Our Market Access team, part of our Medical Craft, brings payer, policy, and healthcare system perspectives into brand planning. The team helps clients navigate access, reimbursement, and value conversations across markets. By understanding real-world barriers and opportunities, they connect innovation to adoption. Their work supports strategies that are both aspirational and achievable.

The Group Account Director, Market Access leads senior pharmaceutical client relationships and oversees integrated market access and patient support programs across one or more accounts. The role connects managed markets expertise, payer and reimbursement strategy, value communications, and commercial account leadership to deliver measurable client outcomes. Working closely with Medical Strategy, Creative, Digital, and Content teams, this leader directs cross-functional delivery, manages multimillion-dollar account financial performance, and develops account talent.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead senior pharmaceutical client relationships, translating payer, reimbursement, and managed markets business needs into strategic account plans, actionable recommendations, and measurable program objectives.
  • Direct the development and delivery of market access and value communications initiatives, including payer materials, value briefs, reimbursement resources, and access-focused brand programs.
  • Oversee patient support program strategy and communications, partnering with pharmaceutical clients and cross-functional teams to address patient access, affordability, reimbursement support, and treatment initiation barriers.
  • Own account financial performance, including multimillion-dollar scopes of work, revenue forecasting, P&L management, resource planning, and identification of organic growth opportunities.
  • Develop and coach account leadership teams while directing cross-functional delivery, executive client presentations, and new business or account expansion initiatives.

Required:

  • 10+ years of healthcare or pharmaceutical agency experience, including senior account leadership on payer, reimbursement, or managed markets business.
  • Proven experience leading market access strategy and deliverables such as value briefs, payer communications, or access-focused brand initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience developing or overseeing pharmaceutical patient support programs, including patient access, reimbursement support, affordability, or treatment initiation initiatives, with examples of delivered programs.
  • Demonstrated success managing senior client relationships and presenting strategic recommendations to VP- and executive-level internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience owning financial performance for agency business, including scope, forecasting, and P&L management for accounts in the multimillion-dollar range.
  • Track record of leading and developing teams, including direct performance management, coaching, and building growth plans for account talent.

Desired:

  • Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
  • Advanced degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related life sciences field, with clear application to client leadership or market access work.
  • Experience integrating digital, omnichannel, or data-informed engagement approaches into market access or managed markets programs.
  • Brand management or commercial strategy experience within life sciences, with exposure to launch, lifecycle, or portfolio planning.
  • New business experience, including contributing to pitch strategy, solution development, and expansion planning within existing accounts.
