Group Accountant - 6 month contract

Our client is an Irish, family-owned business headquartered in Dundalk. They are looking for an experienced Qualified Accountant (0-3+ years PQE) to join their finance team on a 6-month contract as Group Accountant, in a role that offers exposure to all aspects of group finance.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Joining at a time of positive strategic growth, you will become a core part of a finance team supporting that growth, with potential exposure to M&A activity. The role offers flexible hybrid working and the chance to make an immediate impact.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Assist in the month-end close process and balance sheet reconciliations;
• Preparing monthly management accounts and analysing variances to budget and prior year;
• Preparing regulatory and statutory returns;
• Supporting year-end reporting and the statutory financial statements;
• Liaising with external auditors to keep the business audit ready;
• Partnering with internal teams, providing insight to support cost optimisation.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA);
• Broad financial accounting experience, ideally within a group environment;
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines and prioritising multiple tasks;
• Self-starter who is accurate, adaptable, and solution focused;
• Strong Excel and IT skills.
