Group GSE Manager
AviapartnerThe Group GSE Manager is responsible for defining, developing, and driving the implementation
of concepts, tools, and processes to optimize the performance, data transparency (e.g., eGSE %),
cost-efficiency, safety, and sustainability of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) fleets across all
group country organizations.
Acting as a central expert function, the role works in close collaboration with local GSE Managers,
influencing outcomes without direct hierarchical authority. He/she will report to the Group GSE
Director.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement group-wide GSE strategies, standards, and best practices
• Dynamically manage the Aviapartner-preferred catalog of models and options for each
equipment family
• Design and deploy tools, methodologies, and KPIs to monitor and improve fleet performance
(focus on procurement, inventory management, fleet management, interfacing with
accounting, reporting)
• Optimize lifecycle management (procurement, utilization, maintenance, replacement)
• Drive standardization and harmonization across country organizations (including all new
stations)
• Identify and lead cost optimization, digitalization and efficiency improvement initiatives
• Support the transition toward more sustainable and innovative GSE solutions (e.g.,
electrification)
• Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to local GSE Managers
• Facilitate knowledge sharing, benchmarking, and continuous improvement across the network
• Lead or contribute to cross-country projects and initiatives
Stakeholder Management
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with local GSE Managers and operational teams
• Influence decision-making through expertise, data, and credibility rather than authority
• Coordinate with procurement, operations, finance, and safety functions at group and local
levels
Profile & Competencies
• Strong technical expertise in GSE management, fleet optimization, and maintenance practices
• Proven ability to design and implement processes and tools in a multi-country environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence without authority
• Given the international context, fluent written and spoken English is a given
• Strong leadership mindset with a collaborative and team-oriented approach
• Analytical and data-driven, with solid problem-solving capabilities
• Experience in project management and change management
• Ability to work across cultures and organizational boundaries
• Capacity to travel and to adapt to local working environments. You will travel once a month
(on average) within Europe & Africa
• Solid working knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors
• Ability to drive alignment and results across decentralized organizations
• Credibility as a technical expert combined with strong soft skills
• Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
• High level of ownership and accountability
