Key responsibilities

The Group Legal IT Intern will be a key member of the Legal AI Operations within Group Legal, working closely with the Group and Local Legal members. The Group Legal IT Intern will work side by side with lawyers, IT internal support teams, It external partners and the Legal AI PMO to turn legal and compliance needs into reliable, well-built software.

The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues across the countries where the company operates, so that the tools we build work consistently and add value across different geographies.

This role is a unique opportunity to build real products, not just prototypes, at the intersection of software development, AI and legal. The Group Legal IT Intern will help design, build, and improve tools that make the work of legal teams faster, smarter and more reliable. You don’t need to know the legal world yet, and we do not expect a long track record; what matters most is that you are exceptionally sharp, learn very quickly, have already built things you are proud of, and want to take ownership of what you create. All this combined with a genuine passion for AI.

The main responsibilities will entail:

  • Design, development and deployment of software solutions, AI-powered tools and integrations that streamline legal workflows, improve accuracy and reduce manual effort.
  • Build and deployment through Copilot Studio, LLM APIs or other available tools, including prompt design, retrieval over legal documents and evaluation of output quality.
  • System integration work: connecting Legal tools with other corporate systems and data sources through APIs and automation platforms such as Power Automate.
  • Understanding of the business needs that can be translated into tech opportunities to improve internal ways of working.

You are a reliable professional, capable of handling sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail across all deliverables.

  • Final-year students or recent university graduates in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Data Science / Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Physics or a similar STEM degree with strong programming content. We are seeking people with outstanding potential who are willing to challenge themselves.
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience building software (personal or academic projects, hackathons, open source, GitHub portfolio or previous internships) matters more to us than a long CV.
  • Experience with automation and generative AI (LLM APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, AI agents) is highly desirable.
  • Solid programming fundamentals: data structures, clean code, version control and the ability to learn new languages and frameworks quickly.
Technical knowledge
  • Python
  • TypeScript / JavaScript (including HTML and CSS for front-end work)
  • REST APIs and system integration
  • SQL and data modelling
  • Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio)
  • Git and collaborative development workflows

Fluency in Spanish and English is required. We are an international company and all our positions whether these are internships or permanent require a high level of both languages.

  • Proactive, organized, and able to multi‑task in a fast‑moving environment.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when working with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Curiosity, a continuous-improvement mindset and a strong sense of ownership.
Verisure Intrinsic skills
  • Problem Solving and Analytics – strong at structuring complex problems through quantitatively sound analysis, demonstrating exceptional business and commercial judgment. Ability to synthesize information into actionable conclusions enabling efficient decision making.
