We’re looking for a Group Management Accountant to support accurate, timely financial reporting and provide clear insight to stakeholders across the business. This role combines hands-on month-end accounting with group consolidation, financial analysis and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, applying professional judgement and ensuring reporting deadlines are met.

  • Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets, working with operational teams and support functions to produce detailed, accurate plans.

  • Prepare annual statutory accounts and tax information, and support internal and external audits.

  • Identify and implement improvements to reduce reporting timescales.

  • Prepare and analyse weekly margin reports, providing management information to senior stakeholders.

  • Review spending against budget and forecast, investigate variances and recommend mitigating actions.

  • Maintain balance sheet accounts, working across divisions to resolve outstanding items, mitigate risk and identify opportunities.

  • Support the maintenance and continual improvement of Power BI reports across the business.

  • Reconcile gross profit each month.

  • Calculate and process commission and bonus payments.

  • Process prepayments, fixed asset depreciation, accruals and intercompany transactions.

  • Identify and resolve issues to support effective transaction processing.

  • Partner with directors and operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in a management accounting role, ideally in a group or multi-entity environment.

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Good knowledge of management accounting, month-end reporting and financial controls.

  • Experience with group consolidation and intercompany accounting is desirable.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and explain variances clearly.

  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to reconciliations and reporting.

  • Confidence using finance systems and Excel, including working with large datasets.

  • Good organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across the business.
