Group Product Owner - Payments

Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Own and prioritize the Payments product backlog in alignment with the wider product strategy and business objectives.

• Develop and communicate the product vision and roadmap for deposits, withdrawals and supporting payment capabilities.

• Translate customer and business needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of payment features, provider integrations and customer-journey improvements.

• Monitor payment performance, customer satisfaction, adoption, conversion and commercial impact.

• Identify and reduce friction across deposit, withdrawal and payment-verification journeys.

• Balance new business functionality with compliance requirements, technical debt, automation and platform stability.

• Work closely with payment providers and internal Technology, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Fraud and Customer Support teams.

• Support PI Planning and other Agile or SAFe ceremonies and act as the main escalation point for product priorities.

• Monitor payment trends, customer behavior and competitor activity to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

What We’re Looking For

• At least five years of experience in product ownership, product management or digital product development.

• Strong experience with online payments, payment platforms, digital wallets, payment-service providers or transaction-processing products.

• Understanding of deposit and withdrawal journeys, payment authorization, transaction statuses, refunds, reversals and reconciliation.

• Experience integrating payment providers, payment methods or related third-party services.

• Knowledge of payment conversion, transaction success rates, processing costs and other relevant performance metrics.

• Understanding of fraud prevention, KYC, AML, responsible gaming and regulatory requirements affecting online payments.

• Experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Strong Agile background and practical experience with Scrum or SAFe methodologies.

• Ability to balance customer needs, business value, regulatory requirements and technical priorities.

• Experience using qualitative and quantitative research, customer feedback and product analytics to guide decisions.

• Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to cooperate across multiple teams and markets.

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office and web or mobile analytics tools.

• Experience in online betting and gaming is an advantage.

• A university degree and fluency in written and spoken English.
