About the role:
Verisure is seeking a Group Senior Financial Analyst to become a business partner to our high-performing R&D organization. The role will report to the Group Finance Director – Group Functions, based in Madrid, and will be a part of the Group Finance Technology team (based in Madrid/ Spain; and Malmo/ Sweden). Possible location: Madrid (Spain).

Responsibilities:
- Part of R&D Management team. Prepare concise management reporting and communicate complex financial insights, performance drivers and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted finance/business partner to R&D and Technology leaders, building credibility through a strong understanding of business priorities, constructive challenge, and reliable, actionable financial advice.
- Financial Reporting and controlling: Own & drive the financial reporting of the Group Technology Organization end-to-end. Lead the month-end review process with R&D (actuals vs budget). Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and compliance with Group accounting policies, controls and governance requirements, including the appropriate treatment of capitalized development costs.
- Own rolling forecasts for the R&D and Technology organization, proactively identifying financial risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
- Partner with budget owners to build robust budgets, challenge assumptions and drive accountability for OPEX, CAPEX, headcount and project expenditure.
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with the wider Group Finance team to develop processes, templates and tools for effective planning, controlling and reporting related Opex/Capex, Project tracking, FTE, Time reporting, etc.
- Own & drive relevant financial analysis/projects within the Group Technology areas. Provide clear, and actionable data, insights & tools to support business partners in decision making and achieving goals. Share learnings within the Group Finance team and beyond.
- Support portfolio prioritization by assessing the financial attractiveness, strategic alignment and resource requirements of competing investments and initiatives
- Own post-launch analysis for new products and services by comparing initial assumptions and estimates with actual results, identifying performance drivers, and tracking realized ROI against the approved business case.
- Lead knowledge-sharing and best-practice adoption through share-and-reapply sessions and cross-functional initiatives, while coaching colleagues to strengthen capabilities and drive consistent execution across the organization.
About you:
We believe that you have 5-8 years of finance experience in an international context (ideally involved with Technology) in a generalist or specialist capacity – ideally with a focus on Financial Planning and Analysis.
As a person, you have a solution-oriented mindset, outstanding analytical skills, and business judgment as well as the ability to pick up concepts quickly, drive results and lead change. You are a proven team player with the ability to easily, naturally develop great relationships across the organization.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration
- Proven experience engaging with and influencing key stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and proven experience in building data models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent command of English. Other European languages are a plus.
- Power BI and SQL is not a must but an advantage
