Overview
This internship gives students hands-on exposure to SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP) in a global pharmaceutical organisation, covering supply chain planning processes, BAU application support and the data integration connecting SAP ECC to SAP IBP and Snowflake. The role is learning-focused and supervised: the intern assists with practical BAU, documentation, testing and analysis tasks with structured guidance from Technology and Supply Chain stakeholders.
What the Intern Will Do
- SAP IBP Learning & Business Process Understanding
- Learn the core SAP IBP process areas — demand, supply and inventory planning and S&OP — through process walkthroughs, planning cycle reviews and system demonstrations.
- Assist in documenting planning workflows, system procedures, user guides and support knowledge articles, and how planning data flows across Supply Chain, Commercial, Operations, Finance and Technology.
- SAP ECC, SAP IBP & Data Integration Exposure
- Learn how SAP ECC supplies the operational and master data SAP IBP planning depends on, and assist in monitoring, validating and reconciling those interfaces — including how planning data lands in Snowflake for analytics and reporting.
- Help document interface workflows, data mappings and common support scenarios, and participate in troubleshooting data synchronisation issues under Technology team guidance.
- Data, Reporting & Analysis
- Validate planning data and analyse planning outputs, reports and dashboards to identify data quality issues, anomalies and trends across SAP IBP, SAP ECC, Snowflake and Power BI reporting layers.
- Document findings and propose improvements that increase planning visibility and support operational decision-making.
- BAU Support & Issue Management
- Support day-to-day SAP IBP operations under supervision — monitoring scheduled jobs, data loads and integration activities, and helping investigate and triage user-reported issues and service requests.
- Track tickets, contribute to root cause analysis and stakeholder updates, and support User Acceptance Testing for enhancements, fixes and system changes.
- Continuous Improvement & Documentation
- Help create and improve SOPs, work instructions, user guides, support playbooks and knowledge articles.
- Join workshops with business stakeholders and support partners, and contribute ideas that simplify support processes and strengthen reporting and monitoring.
Expected Deliverables
- Documentation of SAP IBP planning processes and terminology — user guides, support playbooks or knowledge articles — together with BAU support summaries and data validation, reconciliation and integration notes covering SAP ECC, SAP IBP and Snowflake.
- Improvement recommendations for planning support, reporting and monitoring, and a finalwritten summary and presentation to Supply Chain and Technology leadership.
Suitable For
Students in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business or Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related STEM and business-technology disciplines.
Ideal Candidate Attributes
- Curious about enterprise systems and supply chain planning, with strong analytical andproblem-solving skills, attention to detail and a willingness to learn SAP IBP, integrationconcepts and support processes.
- Comfortable working with data, Excel, reports and business documentation, and able tocommunicate with both business and technology teams; basic ERP, analytics or supply chainknowledge is advantageous but not required.
*Only Singapore-based applicants with eligible work status will be considered for the role.
