HAPPY HOWL® Growth & Data Strategist Remote (US) · Full-Time About Happy Howl We started Happy Howl because we believe dogs deserve better — and better wasn’t available. Not from the legacy brands cutting corners with feed-grade ingredients, not from the fresh players who can’t survive a pantry shelf, and not from anyone willing to accept that the industry standard for pet nutrition is “good enough.” We’re on a mission to help dogs live longer, healthier lives. Every recipe is 100% human-grade, single-source animal protein, zero preservatives, backed by real science and formulated by a PhD nutritionist who obsesses over every ingredient. Our food is shelf-stable for two years without refrigeration — real, whole-food nutrition that’s ready whenever and wherever your dog is. That combination doesn’t exist anywhere else. But we’re more than a product. We work hand-in-hand with rescue organizations across the country because we believe every dog deserves a great meal — not just the ones who already found their forever home. Giving back isn’t a marketing campaign for us. It’s why we exist. We’re backed by some of the most respected investors in consumer and pet, and we’re building the team that scales this brand past $100M in annual revenue. This is not a slow build. We move fast, we think big, and we hold ourselves to a standard most companies talk about but never actually live. The people here are energetic, passionate, thoughtful, and intentional. We’re a team in every sense of the word — we win together, we solve hard problems together, and we’re building something that genuinely matters. If you want to do the best work of your career at a company that refuses to settle, Happy Howl is where you belong. We’re headquartered in Huntingdon Valley, PA with team members across the US. About the Role You'll be the analytical engine behind Happy Howl's growth strategy. Working directly with the CFO, Marketing and Operations team, you'll own the customer economics analysis, model the scenarios that shape acquisition, and retention channel decisions, and bring us the story behind the numbers before we ask for it. This is a high-visibility role where your thinking directly shapes marketing spend, channel investment, and efficiency in operations. What You’ll Do Own independent scenario modeling across acquisition channels, cohorts, and customer types. Conduct LTV/CAC analysis, retention curve modeling, and cohort-level customer economics reporting. Translate raw performance data into a point of view, not just what happened, but what we should do about it. Partner directly with founders/leadership to shape growth and marketing strategy using data as the backbone. Build and maintain the analytical infrastructure (dashboards, reporting cadence) that lets the business move fast without a dedicated data team. Support strategic analysis on ad spend scaling, MER thresholds, and channel-level ROI. Present findings directly, with a recommendation attached, not just a chart. What We’re Looking For You think like a marketer and a finance person, and model like an analyst. You don't wait to be handed a question. You see something in the data, dig into it, and bring us the answer before we knew we needed to ask. You own outcomes. When a model doesn't tie out or a trend looks off, you don't ship it and hope no one notices. You find the break, fix it, and flag it. The decisions made on your analysis are real: ad budgets, channel bets, growth strategy. You move fast without sacrificing rigor. You can build a scenario model on a compressed timeline and still have it hold up under scrutiny. You default to transparency. When the numbers tell a hard story, CAC creeping up, a channel underperforming, churn ticking higher, you say so clearly, with context and a recommendation, not buried in a footnote. Nice to Have Experience with DTC or subscription business metrics (LTV, CAC, NDR, cohort analysis). Familiarity with BI/dashboarding and analytics tools (PowerBI, Looker, Tableau, or similar). SQL skills for data extraction and analysis. Marketing-side experience (paid acquisition, channel strategy, or growth marketing) — this matters as much as, or more than, technical data experience. Finance knowledge, able to read and build financial statements. What We Offer Competitive salary ($90K–$110K) plus bonus opportunity. High-visibility role with direct exposure to founders and cross-functional leadership. 100% remote work. Real ownership over what gets investigated and why, not an execution-only analyst seat.
