Growth Leader, Health
Digital services consultancy | Hybrid, UK | £100,000 to £130,000 base plus commission
Our client is a digital services consultancy that designs, builds and runs public services for government. They have delivered health and care digital work for more than 15 years across national, regional and local organisations. They now want to increase their health portfolio and are hiring a business development leader to win new, direct work.
What the job is
This is a new business role. You will find, qualify and win professional services work in the UK health and care sector: legacy modernisation, data and AI, and new digital services. You will hold a personal sales target of £5m to £10m.
There is a solid portfolio of established clients and programmes, but most of the work is opening new accounts rather than growing existing ones. You will have recent health and social care references to draw on, a delivery team behind you, and support from bid and solution leads on each pursuit.
You will report to the leader of the health business and shape the sector growth plan with them. As the portfolio grows there is scope to build a team around it.
The market
The scope is broad. It covers national bodies such as DHSC and NHS England, and also adult social care, regulation, genomics and arm’s length bodies. Partnering with larger suppliers is part of the approach.
What you will bring
- A record of selling professional services, not software licences, into UK health or the wider public sector, including winning multi-million pound contracts
- Experience opening new accounts, not only growing established ones
- A network among senior health buyers, ideally at national level
- An understanding of modern digital delivery (agile, user-centred design, GDS ways of working) so you can solve client problems, not just pitch a product
- Commercial judgement on pricing, margin and contract terms
- The ability to work with delivery teams who care about doing the work well
Package
Base of £100,000 to £130,000 with commission on top, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays, flexible benefits and hybrid working.
You must be eligible for SC clearance. That requires five years’ continuous UK residency.
