At Salted, we believe the future of restaurants doesn’t look anything like what we see today. The most successful brands will focus primarily on delivery and take-out - and use technology to nurture deep customer relationships that exist outside four walls.

Please note that we encourage candidates who are interested in this role to email us directly at jobs@hellosalted.com with your resumé and a brief note about yourself and why you're a fit. Please include "Growth Manager" in the subject line. We read every one of these emails.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Growth Marketing Manager will manage the growth engine at Salted. You will think holistically about both top-line sales and bottom-line profitability across our entire portfolio of brands, with a focus on our flagship brand, moonbowls.

You're someone who loves to experiment, track performance, and figure out why things work (or why they didn't). This role sits at the intersection of marketplace management, direct-to-consumer (DTC) digital funnel optimization, retention marketing, and strategic growth opportunities. You will wear many hats, collaborate across teams (from Brand to Ops to Culinary), and adapt quickly as we scale from 40+ to 100+ locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Third-Party Marketplace Growth & Multivariate Testing: Work directly with the CEO to design and execute multivariate tests across major delivery platforms (DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub). Optimize store presentation, menu architecture, photos, promotions, and ad placement to drive maximum conversion, order frequency, net profitability.
  • Web & Funnel Optimization: Own and optimize conversion funnels across brand websites, primarily moonbowls. Run continuous A/B tests on landing pages, checkout flows, and user experience to improve conversion rates and average order value (AOV).
  • Retention & Lifecycle Marketing: Partner closely with our Head of Brand Marketing to build, test, and scale automated drip campaigns across email and SMS. Focus on key metrics like retention, customer lifetime value (LTV), repeat order frequency, and win-backs.
  • Holistic Funnel Strategy: Treat every customer touchpoint—from digital ads to our physical storefronts to packaging —as part of a unified growth engine.
  • Data & Analytics Mastery: Analyze channel performance, customer cohorts, menu conversion metrics, and promotional margins. Uncover trends, diagnose funnel leaks, and translate data into actionable growth initiatives.
  • White Space & Market Expansion: Collaborate with Culinary and Operations teams to advise on market opportunities and menu expansion based on consumer demand trends and performance data.
  • Scale & Cascade: Develop growth playbooks for moonbowls and cascade winning frameworks across our portfolio of brands.
  • Salted-Operated Locations: Maximize the customer experience and growth potential at our physical storefronts. Work cross-functionally to optimize the pickup experience, in-store branding, and hospitality touchpoints to turn one-time pickup customers into recurring first-party digital orderers.
  • Catering Growth & Acquisition Funnel: Treat catering as a primary top-of-funnel acquisition channel. Collaborate with our Business Development team to test campaigns that convert high-value corporate/group catering clients into loyal customer accounts.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on growth experience in DTC, food-tech, delivery platform marketing, or e-commerce.
  • Data-driven & obsessed with economics: You care about customer frequency, net margins and net payouts - not just top-line vanity metrics.
  • AI-proficiency: You are comfortable using AI to solve problems and are constantly looking for ways to accelerate great work - without sacrificing accuracy and authenticity.
  • Marketing stack experience: Hands-on experience with web analytics tools, A/B testing platforms, and lifecycle marketing platforms
  • Scrappy & adaptable: Comfortable moving between high-level strategic growth planning and rolling up your sleeves to execute day-to-day optimizations.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator: Ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across departments.
  • LA-based: Ideally based in LA (although not a requirement).

Benefits

• Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
• Retirement Plan (401k)
• Stock Options
• Career Advancement Opportunities
• Work with a team that’s transforming the restaurant industry
