GTM Engineer: AI-Driven Revenue Operations
Forte Group is looking for the person who builds the AI layer under our sales engine, someone who ships automations and integrations that move pipeline faster, not someone who talks about AI adoption.
Individual contributor, with a dedicated engineer available for the harder technical builds.
Why This Role Is Different
• You're not bolting AI onto a legacy ops job. This function is being built from scratch, at an 800-person company, on a real GTM stack.
• Forte has already built a proprietary AI agent framework used across client delivery. You'll be the first to turn it inward, on our revenue engine.
• Direct line to the founder. This is a founder-sponsored initiative with a real mandate and a runway to prove it out.
• You won't build everything alone. A dedicated engineer partners with you on the heavier builds; your job is to know what to ask for and specify it precisely.
What You Will Own
AI & Sales Automation
• Design and build automations across the GTM stack: lead routing, scoring, enrichment, and outbound sequencing, using n8n, Make, Zapier, Salesforce, or custom scripts.
• Apply Forte's internal AI agent framework, or comparable LLM tooling, to real sales workflows: qualification, research, follow-up, and forecasting, with measurable impact on pipeline speed.
• Write precise technical specs and partner with a dedicated engineer on builds beyond your own hands-on ability.
• Evaluate, pilot, and kill AI and sales tools fast.
Sales Operations & Enablement
• Own the Salesforce data model, workflows, and hygiene across leads, contacts, accounts, and opportunities.
• Design and administer territories, quotas, and sales compensation in partnership with sales leadership.
• Build onboarding and ramp for new reps: system access, playbooks, and training.
• Maintain the executive view of the funnel: pipeline coverage, conversion by stage, win rates, forecast accuracy. Show up with a fix, not just a number, when leadership asks what's stalling.
• Own attribution reporting and monitor marketing-to-sales handoff SLAs.
What You Need
Must-Have
• 4+ years in sales ops, RevOps, or GTM engineering, ideally in B2B technology or services.
• Hands-on Salesforce configuration experience: fields, flows, validation rules, permissions, not just running reports.
• At least one real, shipped automation you built yourself: a Zapier, Make, or n8n workflow; a Salesforce Flow with Apex or API calls; a custom script.
• Experience applying LLM or AI agent tooling to a real workflow: prompt design, basic agent orchestration, or RAG concepts used in production, not just prompting ChatGPT for emails.
• Demonstrated ability to write precise, unambiguous technical requirements and work effectively with an engineer to get something built.
• A track record owning funnel or revenue reporting end-to-end, with a habit of finding a data problem's source instead of flagging the symptom.
• Experience with sales compensation, quotas, or territory design.
• Comfortable operating with minimal direction and high ambiguity.
Strong Plus
• Working Python fluency.
• Experience building AI agents or multi-step automations end-to-end, without an engineer's help.
• Background in technology consulting, IT staffing, or professional services.
What Success Looks Like
• 30 days: You know the GTM stack cold: where the data lives, where it breaks, and where the manual bottlenecks are.
• 60 days: One real automation is live, measurably reducing manual work or improving a funnel metric. Not a pilot deck, a shipped thing.
• 6 months: You're the person leadership asks first when they want to know what's driving or blocking the pipeline, and you already have a fix in motion.
