EOSDA (eos.com) is looking for a Bid Manager (Tender Manager) in Warsaw or remote in Ukraine or Europe!
The Bid Manager is the “Architect of Victory” at EOSDA. This strategic leadership role transforms our deep technical capabilities into winning business models. You will provide the “Strategic Ownership” required to navigate the complex landscape of international space tenders and global development aid.
Role Summary:
Moving beyond task coordination, the Bid Manager takes full ownership of major, high-value proposals. You will lead the charge in identifying requirements for expanding Information Services Portfolio and introducing new analytics solutions. This role requires the analytical depth to translate high-technology jargon into a compelling commercial narrative that resonates with the European public sector and international development clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender Monitoring & Screening: Actively track various tender portals to identify new project opportunities, ensuring we never miss a window for high-value Copernicus or ESA contracts.
- Strategy & SWOT Development: Contribute to the commercial operating plan by conducting rigorous SWOT analyses and defining the over-all strategy to increase global market share.
- Consortium Building: Identify and negotiate with global partners to form international consortia, positioning EOSDA as the lead innovator in collaborative bids.
- Core Authorship: Take lead responsibility for writing and structuring high-stakes proposals for ESA, the EC, and international external aid agencies.
- Technical Coordination: Liaise between interdisciplinary departments to gather documentation and annexes, ensuring all technical requirements are met with total precision.
- Proposal Drafting: Assist in drafting basic proposal sections and updating business models, significantly improving the speed and accuracy of our response cycle.
- Knowledgebase Management: Maintain our strategic service portfolio and competitive position data, providing the foundational intelligence needed for data-driven bidding strategies.The success of this role is measured by the team’s ability to maintain a high submission velocity while maintaining a 100% administrative pass rate.
- Mentorship: Guide junior staff and advise project managers on market-related service placements to refine our competitive positioning.
- Strategic Streamlining: Refine our service portfolio to align with the agricultural and climate change agendas of major institutions, directly accelerating our innovation velocity and market responsiveness.The Senior Bid Manager’s ability to negotiate with global partners and streamline our strategic services directly dictates EOSDA’s expansion in the international development and environmental monitoring sectors.
Comparative Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:
Success in these roles requires a specialized blend or interest of GIS/Remote Sensing knowledge and business acumen. They seek professionals who are passionate about the Downstream application of data to Earth-based problems.
Feature: middle — Senior Bid Manager
Experience: minimum 2 years of business development and proposal leadership.
Tender Record: proven record of winning bids with ESA, EC, or International Agencies.
Strategic Skills: proficiency in SWOT, market analysis, and go-to-market strategies.
Linguistic Proficiency: a high level of English proficiency is a mandatory prerequisite for all roles.
Will be a plus:
- deep domain expertise in Agriculture, Forestry, or Climate solutions.
- proficiency in Polish is considered a valuable asset and a distinct advantage for local and regional coordination.
