Hands and Feet Engineer (ROMANIAN Speaking) / On-site IT Technical support (ROMANIAN SPEAKING)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Hands and Feet Engineer to provide on-site technical support for IT and network infrastructure. The role involves performing physical infrastructure activities such as equipment installation, cabling, hardware replacement, troubleshooting, power cycling, and other technical tasks as directed by remote engineering teams.The engineer will act as the on-site technical resource, working closely with remote network, system, and infrastructure teams to ensure timely resolution of incidents and successful completion of planned activities.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide on-site Hands and Feet technical support for IT, network, server, and data centre infrastructure.

• Perform physical installation, removal, replacement, and relocation of IT/network equipment.
• Rack and stack servers, switches, routers, firewalls, storage devices, and other infrastructure equipment.
• Perform power cycling, rebooting, hardware replacement, and cable management as instructed by remote engineers.
• Connect and disconnect network, power, fibre, and copper cables according to technical instructions.
• Perform basic hardware troubleshooting and identify physical equipment issues.
• Check equipment status, LEDs, power connections, cabling, and physical connectivity.
• Support installation and replacement of network modules, transceivers, hard drives, power supplies, fans, and other hardware components.
• Assist remote engineering teams during troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
• Execute remote-hands tasks based on documented procedures, work instructions, and change requests.
• Take photographs of equipment, rack positions, cable connections, serial numbers, and completed work when required.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, ports, cabling, and physical infrastructure.
• Support data centre activities, including equipment moves, adds, changes, and decommissioning.
• Coordinate with data centre staff, vendors, site teams, and remote technical teams.
• Follow all site access, security, health & safety, and change-management procedures.
• Escalate issues that cannot be resolved on-site to the appropriate technical team.
• Provide timely updates and completion reports for all assigned tasks.
