Hardware Architect Join us as a Hardware Architect and shape advanced electronics for electric mobility, from system architecture through validation and production. Hardware Architect – Automotive Electronics We are looking for an experienced Hardware Architect to join an automotive engineering project focused on the development of advanced electronic systems. The role combines hardware architecture, requirements engineering, technical coordination and product development activities within an international engineering environment. Location: Kraków – hybrid work model Contract: B2B or employment contract (UoP) Industry: Automotive / E-Mobility / Electronics Role overview As a Hardware Architect, you will be responsible for defining and developing hardware concepts and architectures for complex automotive electronic systems. You will work closely with system, software, mechanical, manufacturing and validation teams throughout the product development lifecycle – from requirements analysis and concept development to industrialization and product validation. The projects involve advanced automotive electronics and power electronics solutions used in modern electric and hybrid vehicles. Key responsibilities Analyse customer, system and product requirements related to hardware development Define and develop hardware architecture at system and component level Translate system-level requirements into hardware functions, interfaces and technical specifications Support definition of electrical, mechanical and manufacturing requirements Coordinate technical topics across hardware, software, mechanical and system engineering teams Prepare and maintain hardware architecture and product documentation Manage technical changes and support engineering change processes Support hardware design reviews and technical assessments Define verification and validation requirements for developed solutions Support laboratory, system-level and product validation activities Participate in EMC, environmental and reliability-related engineering activities Support prototype builds, industrialization and production ramp-up Analyse technical issues and participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities Cooperate with international engineering teams, customers and suppliers Support continuous improvement of hardware development processes and engineering standards Requirements Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or a related technical field At least 5 years of professional experience in hardware development, electronics or related engineering activities Experience in automotive, e-mobility, power electronics or embedded electronic systems Good understanding of hardware architecture and electronic system development Ability to analyse complex technical requirements and translate them into engineering solutions Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams Knowledge of hardware development and product lifecycle processes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication and documentation skills Very good command of English Nice to have Experience with automotive power electronics Knowledge of electric vehicle systems Experience with high-voltage electronic systems Knowledge of ISO 26262 / Functional Safety Experience with FMEA, DFMEA or AIAG/VDA methodologies Knowledge of EMC requirements and validation processes Experience working according to automotive development standards such as ASPICE Experience cooperating with manufacturing plants, suppliers or external engineering partners What we offer Opportunity to work on advanced automotive electronics and e-mobility projects Cooperation with international engineering teams Hybrid work model based in Kraków Flexible form of cooperation: B2B or employment contract (UoP) Long-term engineering projects Possibility to develop competencies in hardware architecture and system-level engineering Participation in the full product development lifecycle Technical environment focused on complex, modern automotive technologies Regular presence in our Kraków office is required as part of the hybrid work model.
