About the Opportunity:

Brooksource is seeking an experienced HCM Business Analyst to support a large-scale enterprise resource planning (ERP) modernization and business process improvement initiative. This individual will play a key role in evaluating existing Human Capital Management (HCM) processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and documenting business requirements to support a future ERP transformation.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of HR/HCM operations, hands-on experience with business process mapping, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in stakeholder workshops to gather requirements and document existing HR/HCM business processes.
  • Develop and maintain current-state and future-state process maps across recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, time and labor, position management, and payroll-related functions.
  • Analyze existing workflows to identify inefficiencies, process gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for standardization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand varying business processes and align on future-state improvements.
  • Conduct gap analysis and root cause analysis to identify opportunities for process optimization.
  • Translate business needs and workshop findings into clear functional requirements and process documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for short-term process improvements while supporting long-term ERP modernization objectives.
  • Partner with project leads, functional stakeholders, and documentation teams to ensure deliverables are accurate, consistent, and completed on schedule.
  • Support the development of business requirements and process recommendations that will inform future ERP platform decisions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional experience as a Business Analyst, Business Process Analyst, HRIS Analyst, HCM Functional Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong functional understanding of HR/HCM processes, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll, time and labor, and employee data management.
  • Hands-on experience with current-state and future-state process mapping, workflow analysis, and business process documentation.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews and workshops.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Experience supporting ERP-related initiatives, business process improvement, or organizational transformation projects.
  • Familiarity with process mapping and documentation tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deliverables in a fast-paced, evolving project environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with HCM platforms such as PeopleSoft, Workday, Oracle HCM, or SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Experience supporting ERP modernization, migration planning, or pre-implementation discovery initiatives.
  • Background in business process improvement (BPI), business process reengineering (BPR), or process standardization.
  • Experience working with multiple departments, business units, or complex organizational structures.
  • Familiarity with gap analysis, root cause analysis, and process performance metrics.
  • Public-sector, government, or large enterprise experience.

Work Arrangement:

This is a hybrid opportunity based in Nashville, TN. Candidates must be available to attend in-person meetings, stakeholder workshops, and presentations as needed. On-site participation will be driven by project needs, with key meetings typically occurring midweek.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact ERP modernization initiative, helping shape the future of enterprise HR operations.
