Head of AI Engineering
Location: Remote from Spain, the EU or Latin America, with at least 4 hours a day overlapping Madrid time (CET).
Full time, permanent. Start: January 2027.
About Hubble_s
Hubble_s is an AI lab and enterprise SaaS company. For ten years we’ve measured how management decisions shape employees’ day-to-day behaviours, and how those behaviours move business results, in large companies across Europe and the Americas. On that data we’re building the AI General Manager: an AI that helps general managers see how their organisation is likely to react to a decision before they take it, and what to do to reach a stretch target.
The role
You’ll lead the engineering behind it, and you’ll still write code most weeks. You’ll own:
- The prediction engine: models that learn across companies from behaviour and results data, backtested on held-out periods.
- An ontology API and MCP server that gives AI agents and partner platforms access to our map of root causes, actions and behaviours.
- The model layer: a gateway across several model vendors, test sets, regular comparisons between models, and human scoring.
- The data platform, with a senior data engineer who joins early next year: one schema, clear lineage and access rules for every source.
- Security and compliance built in from the start, the EU AI Act included.
- A small team. You’ll hire our next ML and backend engineers and work with our data scientists and our development partner.
What you bring
- You’ve shipped machine learning to production and kept it running after launch.
- You’ve built predictive models on small, messy panel data and know how to backtest them honestly.
- You’ve evaluated systems built on large language models: test sets, model comparisons, human review.
- Solid data engineering, and APIs or tool interfaces for agents.
- You’ve led a small team or a vendor, and you still like building.
- You can explain what a model can and can’t do to a general manager.
- Fluent English. Spanish or French is a plus.
You don’t need a background in behavioural science. We’ll teach you our method and our data.
What we offer
- Proprietary data, and the chance to shape the product from its first version.
- A competitive salary and stock options.
- A small, senior team that works with AI every day.
How to apply
Apply through LinkedIn with your CV. Add a few lines on a model you shipped and what it taught you.
