How we work:
We follow a hybrid working model, spending an average of three days per week at our office location. The office address is 15 George’s Quay, 1st Floor, Dublin, D02 VR98.
Paysafe is seeking an experienced Head of AML/CTF to lead and oversee the Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Terrorist Financing, sanctions, and wider financial crime framework across its regulated payments and e-money businesses.
As the designated AML/CTF Officer you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring effective financial crime risk management, regulatory compliance, and governance across the organisation. You will serve as a key point of contact for regulators, provide strategic guidance to senior leadership, and help shape the future of financial crime compliance within a dynamic and evolving regulatory environment.
This is a unique opportunity to lead financial crime compliance for a leading global payments business, working closely with senior stakeholders, regulators, and Group functions while helping shape the future of AML/CTF and financial crime risk management across a rapidly evolving payments landscape.

The Impact you will have:
- Act as the firm's designated AML/CTF Officer (PCF-52) and primary contact with the Central Bank of Ireland and other relevant regulatory authorities.
- Lead and maintain the AML/CTF framework across payments, e-money, and relevant crypto-asset activities.
- Oversee customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, suspicious transaction reporting, customer risk assessments, and Travel Rule compliance.
- Lead AML/CTF risk assessments, regulatory change initiatives, and implementation of evolving European regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular reporting, assurance, and strategic advice to Boards and Senior Management on financial crime risks and controls.
- Lead regulatory inspections, supervisory engagements, and remediation programmes.
- Oversee outsourced and intra-group financial crime controls and governance arrangements.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Product teams to ensure financial crime risks associated with new products, services, and strategic initiatives are appropriately managed.
- Support Group-wide financial crime strategy, governance, risk assessments, and regulatory change programmes.
- Lead and develop a high-performing AML/CTF function while promoting a strong culture of compliance and risk management.
What we are looking for:
- Significant experience in AML/CTF, sanctions, and financial crime compliance within regulated financial services.
- Deep expertise in payments, electronic money, cross-border EEA operations, and ideally crypto-asset services.
- Proven experience engaging with the Central Bank of Ireland and other European regulators, including inspections, supervisory reviews, and remediation activities.
- Demonstrated experience leading AML/CTF teams within a complex international financial services environment.
- Proven track record as a PCF-52, preferably within the Payments, E-Money, or Crypto sectors, including:
- CBI-approved PCF-52 for 3-5+ years, or
- Senior MLRO with 8-10+ years' experience, including at least 3-5 years leading AML programmes and regularly reporting to Boards and regulators.
- Strong knowledge of Irish and EU AML/CTF regulations, including AMLR, AMLA, MiCAR, and Travel Rule requirements.
- Professional AML qualification such as CAMS is desirable.
