About the Role
The Head of Bid Management is responsible for managing end-to-end bid processes for strategic, complex, and multi-country opportunities.
Reporting to the Sales & Bid Management Director, the role ensures high-quality, compliant, and competitive proposals by coordinating cross-functional teams and developing strong winning strategies. The Head of Bid Management plays a key role in securing major contracts and ensuring disciplined execution of tender processes in various countries within Cellnex Group.
What We’re Looking For
Bid Management & Execution
- Lead the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity qualification to submission and contract award, ensuring a structured and efficient bid process.
- Manage complex bids, especially for multi-country, multi-vertical or strategic deals, coordinating all required stakeholders and deliverables.
- Step in directly in markets with limited local bid capabilities to provide hands-on bid leadership and ensure successful execution.
Bid Strategy
- Define winning strategies aligned with local commercial directors, taking into account customer needs and competitive positioning.
- In collaboration with other teams (Product Development, Segment Marketing) develop clear, differentiated value propositions and compelling narratives.
- Ensure alignment between commercial, technical, and financial elements to deliver compelling and competitive proposals.
Planning & Governance
- Structure bid plans, timelines, deliverables, and governance checkpoints to ensure effective execution.
- Ensure adherence to internal approval processes, risk frameworks, and compliance requirements throughout the bid lifecycle.
- Monitor progress and ensure timely and high-quality submissions that meet customer requirements and internal standards.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate input from Sales, Product Management, Finance, Legal, PMO and Country teams.
- Ensure consistency and integration of all bid components, maintaining clear communication and accountability across stakeholders.
Risk, Financial & Contractual Management
- Support financial modelling, pricing strategies, and margin protection to ensure commercially sustainable proposals.
- Identify and manage risks throughout the bid process, escalating issues where appropriate and developing mitigation plans.
- Support negotiations, clarifications, and customer communications, (if needed by the local team).
Continuous Improvement
- Capture lessons learned and best practices from bids to continuously improve bid quality and effectiveness.
- Improve bid templates, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and consistency across the organization.
- Contribute to strengthening bid capabilities across countries through knowledge sharing, coaching, and process improvements.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, Commercial Management, or a related field.
- A Master's degree (e.g., MBA) is an advantage.
Languages
- English: Advanced, must-have.
- Other languages: Intermediate, valuable.
Tools & Systems
- MS Office: Advanced
- CRM: Intermediate. Valuable
Experience
- 7+ years experience leading complex bid management, proposal management, or commercial management functions within a B2B environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing large, strategic, or multi-country bids.
- Experience working with cross-functional and international teams.
- Experience supporting pricing strategies, financial modelling, and risk management within bid processes.
- Experience in telecom, infrastructure, or technology sectors preferred.

- Strong commercial, financial, and contractual understanding (pricing, margins, contracts)..
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent bids.

- High attention to detail while maintaining a strategic and customer-focused perspective.
