Head of Business Operations

Sophus is the leader in supply chain optimization software in the AI era, looking for a growing opportunity in a fast growing tech company.

Head of operations, reports to the CEO.

What you will own:

• HR: hiring process, contracts, onboarding and offboarding, contractors and EOR staff in many countries, HR platform, policies.

• Finance: bills, invoices and collections, payroll and contractor payments, expenses, monthly close with our accountant, budget tracking.

• Legal: first review of NDAs, customer and vendor contracts, consultant agreements, stock option paperwork; manage outside lawyers.

• Admin: compliance calendar, company filings, insurance, tools and subscriptions, travel.

• Systems: replace manual work with simple tools and AI workflows, so the company runs with fewer people.

• You are a doer. You are personally handling HR, finance, legal and admin work, not only managed people who did it.

• All-rounder. Real hands-on experience in at least three of the four areas: HR, finance, legal, admin.

• Run operations at a startup or small company, ideally with people in more than one country.

• Global hiring: you have hired people across the world

• Strong with AI tools. You use AI every day to work faster, and you can build simple workflows with it. You still think for yourself and check its output.

• 1st language in English

• Ownership: you fix problems without being asked and know when something must go to the CEO or outside counsel.

• Work authorization in the US, or in your country if remote.

Nice To have

• Experience in B2B software or supply chain.

• Familiar with all types of tools used for day-to-day operations
