Head of Collections & Collaborations-D2C start-up
London
£80k-£90k
I’m working with a fast-growing, profitable e-commerce brand in the art and interiors space. It’s culture-led, with a large and highly engaged community, and it’s backed by investors with a strong track record of scaling DTC brands.
They’re now hiring their first Head of Collections & Collaborations. What they sell is their brand, and this person will shape where it goes next.
Why this role?
Nobody has done this job before you. The work is spread across the leadership team at the moment, and you’ll be the one who owns it. You’ll set the blueprint and build the process. You’ll also manage a curator who handles day-to-day relationships.
What you’ll own:
- Collection roadmap: where the catalogue goes next, including new themes, categories and audiences
- Trend radar: spotting what’s about to break across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, music, gaming, streetwear, galleries and art fairs
- Scouting and signing: building a pipeline of artists, from emerging talent to established names
- Collabs, IP and licensing: structuring exclusive deals, from independent artists to brand and film partnerships
- Drops and launches: limited editions, bundles and new formats, plus the story, timing and hype behind them
- Merchandising: using data to lift AOV, conversion and repeat purchase
- Brand guardianship: having a clear point of view on what fits the brand and what doesn’t
What you’ll bring:
- 4–8 years in streetwear or fashion buying, art editions, licensing, merch or a culture-led DTC brand. What you’ve done counts for more than your job title.
- Taste you can defend with culture and data, not just “I like it”
- A track record of calling trends early, with examples you can explain
- Experience taking products from idea to launch in a small team, without a big ops function behind you
- Ideally, experience running drops or collabs and negotiating licensing or collab agreements
The package:
- Hybrid working: 3 days a week in a studio in East London
- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, your birthday and a duvet day
- A week working from abroad, a monthly wellness budget and an annual company retreat
