Head of Data Solutions & Services

Our client is looking for an experienced and commercially focused Head of Data Solutions & Services to lead the development and growth of our Data Services business unit.

​

This role will define the vision, strategy and operating model for our clients Data Services function and lead the continued development of a scalable, market-leading Data Services business. Creating innovative solutions that help clients leverage high-quality data to power AI, machine learning and emerging technologies, you will identify market opportunities, shape new service offerings, build the capabilities required for growth, and establish the governance, processes and operating model needed to scale successfully.

As a strategic leader, you will play a key role in evolving our organisation beyond traditional content services, establishing a market-leading Data Services capability that drives innovation, delivers customer value and creates new opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategy for Data Solutions & Services, aligning services with business objectives, market opportunities, and client needs.
  

• Shape and grow a portfolio of innovative data services that support AI, machine learning, and data-driven technologies.
  

• Identify new business opportunities, contribute to commercial growth, and help expand relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  

• Partner with clients to understand their challenges and design solutions that deliver measurable business value.
  

• Oversee the successful delivery of data services engagements, ensuring quality, efficiency, operational excellence, and high levels of client satisfaction.
  

• Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  

• Establish scalable operating models, governance frameworks, and delivery processes that support sustainable growth.
  

• Work closely with commercial, technology, and operational teams to ensure alignment between strategy, solution design, and execution.
  

• Contribute to business planning, capability development, and long-term strategic initiatives.

Requirements

Key Experience & Skills

​

• Leadership experience within data services, technology services, consulting, AI operations, or a related field.
  

• Experience building, growing, or transforming a service line, business unit, or operational capability.
  

• Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting revenue growth, solution development, and client engagement.
  

• Proven ability to lead complex service delivery environments while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
  

• Experience leading teams through growth, change, and transformation.
  

• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.

Desirable Experience

​

• Direct experience in AI data services, including data annotation, model evaluation, human-in-the-loop operations, or related services.
  

• Knowledge of machine learning, generative AI, and large language model (LLM) ecosystems.
  

• Experience operating in global delivery, managed services, or professional services environments.
  

• Experience developing new services from concept through to commercialisation and delivery.
