The role will build and scale the team over time, bring external thought leadership and work closely with UK leadership to shape and execute strategic priorities across these dimensions. It will transform and modernise Business Banking’s analytics operating model, ensuring leaders have timely, trusted and actionable insight to support commercial performance, client outcomes and executive decision-making.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead a multi-disciplinary capability across four core strands: digital marketing; product management for agreed digital features; analytics and BI engineering; and the AI Centre of Excellence, building and scaling a high-performing team over time.
- Own strategic data analytics, insight and reporting for agreed Business Banking priorities, transforming and modernising the analytics operating model so leaders have timely, trusted and actionable insight to support commercial performance, client outcomes and executive decision-making.
- Drive digital marketing operations and growth across retail or financial services use cases, including performance marketing, SEO, website effectiveness, content optimisation, GEO and emerging AI-led discovery channels.
- Shape segmentation, personalisation and audience strategy by translating client, behavioural and performance data into targeted activity that improves relevance, engagement, conversion and retention.
- Lead change on specific digital features through strong product management discipline, working with business, technology and delivery partners to prioritise, shape and execute improvements that support client and commercial outcomes.
- Maximise marketing technology, automation and operational effectiveness by strengthening campaign Operations, platform usage, data flows, controls, automation and reporting standards.
- Partner strategically across geographies and senior stakeholder groups to align delivery with UK business priorities, ensuring clear ownership, effective governance and strong collaboration across business, data, marketing, technology and risk teams.
- Embed modern data and AI practices by applying a strong understanding of cloud-based data platforms, AI-enabled analytics, automation and emerging digital channels in a safe, scalable and controlled way.
- Bring thought leadership across digital marketing, product, analytics and AI, partnering with UK leadership to shape strategic priorities and translate them into clear delivery plans.
- Set the operating rhythm and performance framework for the capability, including delivery priorities, service standards, capacity planning, MI, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong governance, control and risk discipline across data, reporting, marketing Operations, platform usage and digital execution, ensuring activity is well-managed, auditable and aligned to regulatory expectations.
- Develop leadership and talent capability across large teams, creating a culture of accountability, inclusion, curiosity, innovation and sustained high performance.
What we’re looking for
- Strong data analytics, insight and reporting expertise, with the ability to transform analytics operating models and translate complex data into clear strategic and commercial decisions.
- Strong BI expertise, ideally including Power BI and Looker, with experience leading data analysts and BI engineers to improve reporting quality, accessibility and self-service insight.
- Deep understanding of modern cloud-based data and AI platforms, including how they enable scalable analytics, automation and client engagement.
- Product management capability, with experience leading change on digital features from prioritisation through to delivery and measurable adoption.
- Strategic performance marketing expertise across SEO, content, website optimisation, GEO, digital visibility and emerging AI-driven channels.
- Strong understanding of segmentation, personalisation, audience strategy and lifecycle engagement.
- Experience with marketing technology, automation, marketing operations and performance measurement frameworks.
- Senior stakeholder management and influencing capability across geographies, with the credibility to operate effectively with UK and India leadership teams.
- Proven ability to lead, scale and motivate large, multi-disciplinary teams in a complex organisation.
- Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to connect marketing, data and digital activity to measurable client and business outcomes.
- Excellent governance, risk, control and continuous improvement mindset.
