Who we are:
Who you are:
Geotab is looking for entrepreneurial product and business leaders to head our domains – focused teams that each own a customer outcome and the business results that come with it. As a Head of Domain, you'll own the strategy, roadmap and results for your area, lead a multi-disciplinary team of product managers, designers and engineers, and turn customer problems into products that customers adopt and pay for.
What you'll do:
This is a role for someone who has built and sold something: a leader who measures success by business results, not by what shipped, and who uses AI to change how work gets done. You'll report to Geotab's Technology Development Board and operate with real autonomy as the business owner of your domain.
We welcome applicants nationwide! If you’re based near one of our office hubs, this role follows our hybrid model, blending the comfort of working from home with regular on-site days to connect and collaborate.
This is an evergreen posting. We're building a pipeline of exceptional leaders for current and future domain leadership opportunities across Technology Development.
How you'll make an impact:
- Own the outcome. Set the vision, strategy and roadmap for your domain and be accountable for its primary business results – adoption, revenue, retention and customer impact.
- Run it like a business. Make clear build, buy and partner decisions, prioritize by customer and revenue impact, and say no when the return isn't there.
- Stay close to customers. Ground your team in customers' real experience to find the problems worth solving, and work with sales, support and partners to bring solutions to market.
- Lead the AI shift. Redesign how your domain works around AI to move faster, and help others across the organization do the same.
- Build a high-performing team. Hire the right talent without settling, place people where their strengths matter most, set a clear and high bar, and develop the next generation of leaders.
- Work across Geotab. Partner closely with platform, segment and other domain leaders, contribute beyond your own goals, and help shape strategy with the Technology Development Board.
- Manage your investment. Own your domain's people and budget plan, make investment cases, and report on results and risks to the board.
What you'll bring to this role:
- 10+ years of experience in product management, product engineering, or related customer-facing product roles.
- 5+ years of senior product and people leadership with cross-functional scope and direct accountability for customer-facing business outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and work experience).
- Strong product leadership capability with demonstrated ability to define and execute customer-facing product strategy tied to measurable business outcomes, with P&L literacy and revenue attribution.
- Cross-functional leadership experience managing teams across product management, product design, and product engineering disciplines, with proven capability in identifying and coaching high-potential leaders.
- Excellent stakeholder management, change readiness, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with platform teams, segment leads, and executive leadership in evolving organizational structures.
- Familiarity with modern product discovery, validation practices, and engineering practices (CI/CD, cloud-native delivery, agile), alongside the ability to redesign domain workflows around AI to compress effort.
