We have built Agentic AI that automates early-stage due diligence and pairs it with in-house expertise to accelerate late-stage diligence. The result: projects move from siting to construction-ready in a fraction of the time. Paces is growing rapidly and looking for a Head of Engineering , reporting to our CTO and Co-Founder. This is a hands-on leadership role : you will lead and scale our engineering team, nurture our builder culture, impact product direction and roadmap, write code, and review PRs. 🏆 What You’ll Achieve Technical Vision : Define technical vision and execution strategy that align with company goals. ** - Execution Excellence : Balance between shipping speed and product quality; define lightweight but effective processes that work for both our software and vertical AI teams. - Team Building : Recruit, onboard and manage a diverse team of ICs and TLMs; nurture our collaborative and high-velocity engineering culture. - Hands-On Execution** : Stay at the cutting edge of AI coding; design systems, write code and review key PRs. 📈 Requirements 10+ years of professional software-engineering experience, 3+ years managing and leading multi-team orgs in high-growth startups. Proven record scaling engineering organization from 0 -\> 1 -\> N in data intensive, vertical AI companies. Strong, versatile technical background, experienced with full-stack dev, ETL, AI and distributed systems. A high degree of comfort digging into systems with deep technology stacks.
