Head of Finance Build Geely’s Irish finance function from the ground up — shape strategy, strengthen controls and guide the decisions powering a new national automotive business. Following the successful establishment of Geely Auto UK, we are now creating a dedicated National Sales Company in Ireland as part of Geely's continued European expansion. We're looking for ambitious automotive professionals who want the rare opportunity to build a new national business from the ground up, backed by one of the world's leading automotive technology groups. You'll play a key part in the business that brings them to Ireland. Main responsibilities: Lead the establishment and implementation of the finance function for the new Irish entity, including local financial processes, controls, systems, banking, reporting and governance, working closely with UK Finance and relevant external advisers. Support market launch activities, including dealer network establishment, vehicle distribution readiness, regulatory compliance and cross-functional project delivery. Challenge and influence business leaders on performance, profitability, costs, investment and resource allocation. Translate financial information into practical recommendations and actions. Develop strong relationships across the Irish business and establish Finance as a valued business partner. Support strategic planning and business development through robust financial modelling and analysis. Lead the monthly management accounts process, ensuring accurate, timely and meaningful reporting. Maintain a strong financial control environment and ensure appropriate processes, policies and controls are embedded locally. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process for Irish entity. Work closely with UK shared services finance team on treasury and group reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with Irish statutory accounting, tax, VAT, audit and regulatory requirements, working with UK Finance and external tax, audit and professional advisers as appropriate Produce and present accurate local and Group financial reports, forecasts and performance analysis, providing timely insight to support strategic decision-making. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support the achievement of business objectives. Drive continuous improvement of finance processes, systems and reporting, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency and enhanced financial controls. Lead the development, documentation and maintenance of finance policies, procedures and process manuals to ensure consistency, compliance and best practice. Work closely with the Sales operations team to ensure all dealer payments are accurately reconciled, authorised and processed in accordance with company policy. · Drive continuous improvement of finance processes, systems and reporting, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency and enhanced financial controls. Provide financial oversight and commercial analysis of vehicle profitability, pricing, dealer support, incentives, stock, working capital and other key drivers of NSC performance. Lead the development, documentation and maintenance of finance policies, procedures and process manuals to ensure consistency, compliance and best practice. Lead, develop, coach and mentor the Finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting succession planning and professional development. Build strong relationships with budget holders and senior leaders, providing financial challenge and support to improve business performance. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, financial regulations, internal controls and company policies. Deputise for the Deputy Director – Finance, providing leadership and representation for the wider Finance function as required. Education, Skills and Personal characteristics required: · Bachelor's degree (2:1 or above) Qualified Accountant with 5 years + with relevant experience in this or a similar role. Qualified by experience with 8 years + with relevant experience in this or a similar role.
