We are seeking an experienced, strategic and results-driven Head of Finance to lead the Finance function of a Microfinance Bank in Lagos.

This is an opportunity for a finance professional who understands that effective financial leadership goes beyond reporting numbers. It requires sound financial judgment, strong governance, strategic insight and the ability to build systems that support sustainable institutional growth.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Strong technical expertise in financial management, reporting and accounting.
• Experience in budgeting, financial planning, forecasting and performance management.
• Sound knowledge of banking or financial services operations and regulatory requirements.
• Strong capabilities in treasury, liquidity and cash flow management.
• Experience establishing and strengthening financial controls, policies and processes.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, integrity and sound business judgment.

• Position: Head of Finance
• Location: Marina, Lagos
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid
• Compensation: ₦1 million – ₦1.2 million net monthly
• Resumption: Immediate / Urgent

Qualifications

• Strong financial controlling skills, including oversight of internal controls and compliance processes.
• Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and interpreting financial statements and management accounts.
• Solid finance foundation, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and treasury awareness.
• Advanced analytical skills for financial modeling, variance analysis, and data-driven decision support.
• Expertise in financial reporting, including regulatory, tax, and investor reporting standards.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience in fintech, financial services, or technology-driven businesses is an advantage.
• Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with IFRS or similar standards.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing finance teams and driving process improvements.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
